Food was still lovely, but I had to drop a star from previous as the greeting we had upon arrival was a grunt and a point to a table. Lovely new face serving us though, looked a bit 'gruff' but gave some excellent advise. Will still go again next year, just think that staffing is light on the ground at the moment
Wow, what a catch! We stumbled upon what appeared to be a gem of place. Was it busy? Yes, booking is advised. Were the staff cool? 2 out of 3 weren't bad; one guy really wasn't a natural. How was the food and drinks? Absolutely amazing! The Seafood Linguine and Cod Curry were incredible! The children's menu was superb, too. Kudos
We visited the watch house on the first night of our holiday. The food was so delicious that we ended up visiting twice more on our week long trip. The fish was beautifully fresh, excellent wine, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We couldn’t recommend more highly eating at this lovely restaurant! The online booking system on their website didn’t seem to work for the week we visited so best to call to book.
What a great find!! Took the ferry over from Falmouth and chanced dropping in here. Welcomed by the owner Will who was working front of house. Super friendly and chatty which made the service. The food was amazing, roasted shellfish and the best fish and chips I think I tasted. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was light and sweet. Highly recommended dining here.
If you normal and expect real fosh and chips when your 2 feet from the harbour dont go here everv...Frozen oven chips... tasteless and full of fluff ... fish batter dreadful looked more like pollock than cod.. £2 a can of pop.... welcome hungry tourists to cornwall... anything but ideal
Great fresh food! The best seafood spaghetti I've ever had, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Not sure if the place has changed management recently but previous experiences years ago were mediocre - very glad it's improved now!
Took my 93 year old dad on a trip down memory lane... We had a lovely day in St Maws made perfect by our fantastic lunch served by a very handsome chap... Would recommend the food and great service...
Fish and chips were fantastic, light crispy and perfectly seasoned. Fish was cooked to the perfect time.
The fish and chip take away food was very good, clearly very fresh cod and cooked extremely well. Just the right sized portion and good value for money. Service has room for improvement, lady provided little friendliness or smiles when ordering and advised of a short waiting time. Although this didn’t do too much to dampen the experience.
Nice food but a little overpriced. Not sure why the menu differs so much inside from the ‘chippy hatch’ on the outside. Service could be perceived as blunt.
