Just ordered Fish n Chips twice with a battered Sausage for delivery. Delivery spot on... Fish cooked golden brown outside, flaky in the middle and the chips were cooked to perfection... oh not forgetting the battered sausage which was very tasty. We've used the Old Village for years and it still is in our opinion the best around...spot on... cheers...
Visited for the first time in over a year and was nice to see the shop busy though I think that lead to some rushed orders and mix ups.. I requested a BATTERED sausage and received a plain one, also requested a large and small portion of chips and they were all all smushed into the same bag leading to some confusion and splitting when home.. don't get me wrong the QUALITY was fantastic and not oily or greasy in any way but it's a shame I could they what I requested, shop was also out of curry sauce so had to make do without which is a shame but clearly it must've been a popular busy day.. all in all minus the order issues and packaging it was a good experience
Neat, clean fish shop xx...serving high quality, freshly fried, fish and chips. Generous Yorkshire portion size . Good menu choices, with friendly service. A great local choice for many years, they really know what they're doing. Can't wait to try them a gain.
Lovely fish and chips cooked to order, served by charming and friendly staff. Spotless place, as well, and given the recent cost of living chaos, reasonably priced, too. Would certainly recommend, and shall be back, no danger! Recommended dishesFish and Chips
Not card friendly, minimum of £5 and I don't carry cash. I wanted a box of chips for lunch £2 and ended up tripling my order. The food is decent but there are better chip shops in the area, with better customer service. I will definitely go somewhere else next time. If you want a good chip two streets down there is an excellent one called KP's, but don't go here. It used to be my favourite chippy but I won't go there again, KP's is superior.
Best fish and chip shop in Middleton and prob in Leeds. All cooked fresh and friendly staff. Fish is excellent quality. Missed it today when it was closed for holidays and tried a different one. 100% if you’ve not been then try, you won’t go to another one again.
For me.... The best fish n chip shop in South leeds. Top shelf quality and you definitely get value for money. The owner is a friendly and everything is cooked to order... No warm ups.
Lovely clean chippy. Friendly welcome. Fish cooked fresh and lovely light batter. Generous portions and mushy peas are lovely - not like slop you sometimes get at chippies. Lovely fresh breadcakes.

One of the best Fish and Chip shops around this area, all fish is cooked to order so nice and hot and fresh, none of this been kept warm. Always good quality from here, with friendly staff as well.
