DO NOT STAY HERE. terrible place and horrible staff. Was desperate for a room at 10pm. So i called them and was told a room is available for £50. When i arrived, was told its £80. I asked why i was quoted £50 over the phone and both gents denied that somebody quoted me £50. Looking at the reviews, im glad i never stayed there. STAY AWAY PEEPS!
Everything is damp, staff were useless, had no towels for a shower, the kettle was mould. We wasn’t even allowed a key to the room unless we paid a £20 deposit which was more than what the room was per person cash only also so had to walk to the nearest cash machine. Overall just a disaster and shouldn’t even be classed as a place to stay. If you are reading this as you have booked or are booking to stay here. You will wish you had paid for a better hotel.
This hotel was so disgusting. Mould was everywhere on walls an ceiling. The bed was broken. The carpet was so dirty an worn out I would of walked away but it was 4am an I was very tired to notice any thing. When I woke up in the morning an seen everything I wanted to be sick . I couldn't use the bathroom they were cob webs everywhere forget making a coffee. I didn't touch nothing an just left . Do not stay here !
Wouldn’t even give 1 star if possible as I and 2 others, I had booked out two rooms for jubilee weekend! will not be staying. Despite having a booking in place for 2 and a half months or so, I get a call on Saturday from a very rude, unhelpful man to say our booking has been cancelled, two weeks before arrival! They claim that the whole of the hotel has been booked out by Leeds City Council ‘for the homeless’ and provided no alternative. Absolutely disgusting!! Despite this, the booking is still showing on booking.com which makes no sense at all. We shall be following this up and if we find that you are gazumping the rooms because that weekend will be a busy one, we shall be reporting you to the local authorities.
DO NOT STAY!! Arrived at the hotel late Friday night and the staff at reception seemed not to want to be there and didn’t seem interested at all. Asked for extra pillow and towel as booked for 2 people and only had one towel - got told the door was locked. Went back again in the morning pressed the bell for assistance nobody came within 5-10 minutes so had to leave. Came back and asked again got told the same that the door was locked. Eventually got given a towel. Multiple police officers in the hotel throughout the stay on the reception and appeared to be guarding a room. No tv remote. Not enough toilet roll. Decor was in poor condition and very outdated. Only good thing I can say is it provided somewhere to sleep and a shower with very very bad pressure and the room was relatively clean.
When asked about”pets welcome” ….I was rudely told “no pets” ….change your internet status and don’t be so rude on the phone….no wonder you only have three stars!!!
I've stayed in worse places... But I'm not sure when. Pretty much same as all the other reviews, it's damp, broken furniture, dirty carpets and rooms in a poor state of repair. On the plus side the TV worked, the bed was clean and the room was warm. There was a leak in the bathroom which dripped on the toilet which was nice. Would suggest you avoid it unless you have no other option. Reception pretty unwelcoming and seemed like it was hard work to be polite and check me in, tried to get a deposit for the room and key which seems very unwelcoming.
If you want to stay at a nice, comfortable, welcoming and nice staff....THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU SO DO NOT COME HERE STAY AWAYYYYYYYYYY. Firstly, the receptionist there was rude and awful. He was rude and didn't welcome us in at all! Secondly, once we got our rooms, we wanted to leave straight away. The first thing i wanted to was get a refund from how EXPENSIVE it was. The wallpaper was peeling off, the tv cord was cut so there was a high risk of a fire starting in my room if i turned the tv on, the beds were uncomfortable and there was no use of using a duvet and pillow since it didn't do anything! The floors were sticky and extremely dirty, you could instantly tell that there hadn't been a health and safety check up at this place, the rooms smelt like cigarettes. I woke up and started coughing, You could tell there had been people smoking because of the smell and because of all the burnt cigarette marks all over the windows and windowsill. Now onto the bathroom. The room i was staying in, the bathroom door wouldn't even close properly and the shower i had was TERRIBLE! The toilet seat didn't even fit the toilet and the light didn't work. After one night we wanted to escape. In the morning we packed our bags and left. As i was getting all our bags into the car, i smelt the fresh air and i have never loved fresh air that much in my entire life. I only gave this place 1 star because i couldn't give it 0 stars. Definitely not coming here again and i hope no one has to come here and experience what i have. Don't come here STAY AWAY.
No redeeming features. The rooms bore fragrances of mould mixed with cigarette smoke. Electrical fittings had frayed cords. The walls were stained. Carpets were dirty and sticky. The shower didn't give good pressure and was only luke warm. Gave one star only because the system wouldn't allow no stars
Booked a double room at 3pm to arrive at 6pm, we was quoted £45. We then arrived at the hotel and was told there isn't any rooms available!! 10 mins later there was a double room ready in an hour but it will be £65!!!! The attitude and ignorance of this place is dreadful! Not to mention the state of the place and the smell!! WOW!! We then booked in at the halfway house down the road and to be honest it worked out for the better!! Brand new fresh clean rooms and polite welcoming friendly staff!
