Old Bridge Street Car Park is a convenient short-stay car park in the heart of Truro, making it an excellent choice for shopping trips or quick visits to the city centre. Its central location means the cathedral, shops, cafés, and restaurants are all just a short walk away.nnThe car park is easy to access, with clearly marked bays and straightforward payment options, including contactless and mobile app payments. It also has public toilets on site, which is a useful addition for visitors. Cornwall CouncilnnAs it’s a popular short-stay car park, it can fill up quickly during busy periods, and the parking charges are a little higher than some of the longer-stay options nearby. However, for convenience and proximity to the city centre, it’s hard to beat.nnOverall, it’s a reliable and practical place to park if you’re planning a quick visit to Truro.
The car park is decent if under 3 hours as centrally located near high street and the cathedral. However it can get quite busy and the prices skyrocket to the daily rate if there for 3+ hours.
Great place to pop into town from - but, the council has decided to change it to a pay on arrival rather than a pay when you leave option. Which is crazy as its the same equipment and infrastructure - just updated to make it less convenient
Absolutely outrageous thing to witness that on 31/03/2023 around 5pm this VW golf driven by young bloke, scratches beautiful Red Audi, while trying to park head first into narrow space. Of course this driver fled straightaway to nearby car park with half of right side of bodywork covered in red paint. Shame!
WARNING: Car park charging here has changed. If you park for more than 3 hours, you'll be charged the daily rate of over £30. This is signed but can be easy to miss, as some friends of ours nearly did, getting out with minutes to spare!
