Fri 23rd March I visited The Hall for Cornwall Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra on returning to Gerras Wharf Car Park, there was a tremendous queue to pay my parking charge. Only machine was working and now rainy, after getting very wet only to find the barriers wouldn't open. Cars were stuck for 45mins. Very poor. Will go to Plymouth next time.
Not good if you park here for the theatre.! There are two machines but not clearly noted that one is for cash and one for contactless. They set low down so you have to bend down trying to operate. Long queue for everyone to pay and then there is the issue of trying to get out of the carpark. Everyone exiting at the same time and no one wishing to let you out. Surprised there wasn't an accident. Would have been worse if raining.
After a show at the Hall for Cornwall there were long queues to pay & it took 20 minutes to exit. The barrier wouldn’t raise repeatedly including for us. Avoid this car park if you want to get home quickly!
Absolute rubbish!nIt’s definitely not free after 4pm.nWas there last night 19th November to see a show at Hall for Cornwall.nOnly one user-unfriendly payment machine working out of 3 and 50 people queuing.nWasted 30 minutes which I’m never going to get back.
Super busy carpark, always seems to have issues at the ticket barriers?nIn addition, the flow of the traffic around the carpark is a bit awkward and can be improved upon.
