Story

With the remnants of the historical pub abutted to the newer oak framed barn, the ingeniously reconstructed Old Beams is a glorious triumph of gastronomy over adversity!

Dine inside warmed by log fires in the vaulted oak barn or private dining rooms of the old pub or, weather permitting, alfresco in the garden or on the patio.

Very cozy, typical British pub. Traditional, nice decor (wooden furniture, fake fireplace, candles etc.), nice staff, quick service. Went for Sunday lunch, it was full of locals, big family celebrations (book a table!!) However, only 4 stars as food was quite average, unsalty meet, potato and veggies. Pudding could have been so nice with some flavour too...

Restaurant is very nice and parking is free. There is sitting outdoor. Staff is pleasant and fast. Price is very good. The food is very taste. There is starter free. It is bread.

The Old Beams is a lovely pseudo rustic pub which offers nice spacious seating and great food. We went on a Saturday lunchtime where the restaurant was just under half full. The service was very friendly although was a little bit slow near the end. It is nice however not to be rushed. The only downside is the slightly awkward car park. It is quite difficult to get parked in and the muddy puddles in it after rain aren't great when you're dressed up.

Good for business lunch or casual dinner. Food is good quality not great but better than standard pub food. Service is very good and friendly. Prices are reasonable. There is on site parking which is free. Good selection of beers and wine. Recommended.
