"Our practice in Uckfield has been providing dental care to the people of East Sussex since the 1980s. As well as offering a range of private treatments, NHS care is also available. You can come and see us for a routine check-up or hygiene appointment, or for cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Some of our services include veneers, teeth whitening, dental implants and gum treatments. We can straighten your smile too using Invisalign aligners or Six Month Smiles cosmetic teeth straightening. I’ve been coming here seeing Ian Bell ever since I’ve had teeth. Ian has always been very friendly, professional and put me at ease. I live half an hour away from the practice but have decided to not switch to a local practice as I like being looked after my Ian. The reception staff are also really friendly and welcoming and I would recommend this practice to all.
As an NHS client the service I received was fantastic. The dentist listened and explained thoroughly every procedure. Such a shame you are not able to take on more NHS patients.
Marta is always very professional, lovely and compassionate - especially with my children. She looked after my husband very well in the last stages of his terminal neurological condition and has been looking after my whole family for many years. The receptionists and other staff are very caring and professional and the facilities are clean and modern. Any other dentists and professionals I had come across in this practice have been excellent! I would always recommend this practice!
My most recent appointment Well, appointments: Claire and Ian. went as smoothly and agreeably as ever. Everything runs quietly, efficiently and punctually, the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, the staff are uniformly affable, and the quality of service, all round, exceptional. A very happy patient/customer! Thank you!
Took my 8 year old son here with a small abscess. He was very nervous as I told him it was likely he would need an injection. Nisar was excellent, making my son feel relaxed and even making him smile. Was so gentle and quick to drain the abscess he didn’t even know it had been done! Would recommend this place.

I have been a patient at this practice for many years and have always experienced excellent customer service and have been treated by friendly staff. The whole team are great with my young children and always explain procedures to them well to help them feel less apprehensive. Making appointments is always hassle free. I would definitely recommend this practice.
I am an extremely nervous patient and I don't feel there is any support for that at this surgery. I have particularly found my last couple of visits rather traumatic. I visited in March 2020 as I had been suffering with a tooth ache, I had to see a different dentist and unfortunately she was extremely unhelpful and blunt. Even once raising her voice which made me incredibly upset and I even felt that I wanted to walk out at that moment. However I did not and I stayed, she decided that she would do a root canal filling after saying that she couldn't guarantee it was even the correct tooth that was giving me the pain. This didn't fill me with much confidence. I then had to make a second appointment with her for her to finish my treatment. Unfortunately we then went into lockdown due to covid, meaning I had to wait over a year before I could return to finish my treatment. Even then I was confused that they had opened up to see patients for check ups, yet hadn't bothered to make patients that were already in the middle of a treatment a priority. I had to make an appointment for a check up just to even get seen about finishing my treatment. This time I saw my regular dentist 'Andre' who I find really unfriendly, barely ever saying anything to me and sitting with his back to me on the computer without even making it clear that he has finished with me, so I can leave. Only was it when the dental nurse asked him "is that all" that I was aware that I could leave. Sadly he has been like this everytime I have seen him, which heightens my anxiety over visiting the dentist even further. After visiting him most recently for a check up in the hope he will complete my treatment over a year later he informed me that my tooth had broken further and would recommend an extraction, due to the fact that there is no guarantee that completing the root canal filling will work. I am only 36 and am already self conscious about my teeth that the thought of losing a tooth filled me with fear and dread. I was almost in tears at this point, but there was no support, just a very blunt "what do you want to go with?" I can't help but wonder that if I had been seen sooner that there may have been more options. I also believe that as I am only a NHS patient that there is less consideration for patients and that they just want to get rid of you as soon as possible as they think of you as a nuisance. After my experience as of late I have considered going elsewhere, however my experience here as a nervous patient has put me off dentists even more so, which makes me anxious about even going to a different surgery in case similar happens again. I would have made a complaint directly but they don't appear to have a clear complaints procedure. So didn't know what else to do, I just wanted to make others aware, if they are considering joining this surgery.
I can’t recommend this dental practice highly enough. The staff have always been very welcoming and kind and always very accommodating when booking an appointment. Laura is an excellent dentist, very friendly with a warm, gentle and kind manner putting me at my ease.
Excellent care as always from Julia Botwright. Such a shame for her patients that she's retiring, but geat for her - enjoy, you've earned it! Thanks also to the reception staff, pleasant and helpful as usual
