I've only had negative experiences with this place - I have received rude assuming letters from them about being overweight and getting weight-loss, I can hardly ever get an appointment, and when i do the doctor asks questions about my past which he does not need to know the details about. He also does not let me speak my full sentences without interrupting them. Furthermore, did not listen to what i was saying properly so was making assumptions about what i was saying/going to say. I will be moving to a different surgery shortly and hoping for better reception there.
Took half day holiday for an appointment to have my ears syringed and cleared of wax. When I saw the nurse she said she couldn't do it and wanted to make me another appointment. I had explained to the receptionist why I was making this particular appointment as would have been using olive oil drops the week before this appointment. Very angry as this was wasted time off and still not sorted.
Nicolas deserves a raise, amazing person he explained everything and gave great service. 2 stars however because of the calling and reception... not going into detail because it honestly was pathetic but it got me in a right mess.
what a positive transformation in service here at The Meads, I rang this morning as I had a very severe pain in my knee, to my surprise I was offered a same day appointment to see a Locum Doctor I think it was Dr Noe Anyway she was absolutely brilliant, very good care I can not fault the help and assistance I received today, she quickly assessed and diagnosed I had arthritis and prescribed medication all delivered in very professional yet cheerful manner, I can not thank her enough, and wish she was full time here
Shower of $hite. Here's a concept....if you going to make people wait in a queue for 30 minutes how about being able to actually help the people you included in that queue...otherwise what's the point? Just wasting peoples time. A glimpse into how badly run this place is....
I have to say, hands down, after 2 years at the horrible Buxted centre, it's such a pleasure being back at a centre that actually functions and operates well. Finally it's easy to get GP appointments, short waiting on the phone when calling them, easy to make appointments, all staff are friendly and helpful! Should have moved here long ago! Well done Meads Medical Centre!
I would like to say what a massive disappointment the practice manager is…not even a call back as promised.after raising his voice to me and acting very unprofessional in our recent call on Friday…now tues still not a call back…. I would like to say a massive thank you to dr walbrook you are absolute diamond just a shame some of your staff so let your practice down in such a massive way.
While the people who work there may be nice, we have been waiting 2 months for a form to be returned so my other half can obtain life insurance. Utterly awful. Edit- as I say the people can be lovely and are of course rolling out vaccinations, but the lack of organisation or administration is shocking. Not to mention I personally know people who have been misdiagnosed leading to life threatening consequences due to it not being spotted/ passed off as something else - in particular my other half’s brain tumour a couple of years ago... I will never recommend this medical centre to anyone and actually actively encourage people to leave it.
The staff are great and the doctors are very good but they need to sort out the phones. Don't bother calling. In the morning it doesn't even ring until at least 9am, yesterday I was on hold for 15 minutes there's normally a queue around 6 people in front of you
The team here looked after my mother for eight years until her recent death at the age of 95. They were marvellous! My mother was given excellent care by the Doctors and the rest of the medical team and the receptionists were unfailingly kind and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we always knew that Mum would be treated with great compassion. Thank you to everyone. I highly recommend this Practice.
