I have had a few appointments this year and the whole team have been outstanding. The reception department are exceptionally friendly and efficient, and my dentist and dental nurse have been brilliant all the way up to my tooth extraction today. I was quite nervous but my dentist Melissa Ayres was very professional and got me through it the best she could. All round a brilliant team, highly recommend.
The worst customer service I have ever witnessed in my life. I rang to discuss my appointment which I booked online to see if if I could get an earlier appointment due to tooth ache. I was advised I should of been struck off as it had been over a year since my last check up however with Covid and my appointments which they kept cancelling I was unable to come in for an appointment with no fault of my own, it was there own fault. Anyway they said they could not provide an earlier appointment so I said ok leave the appointment I have booked. immediately after the email I get a text saying the appointment is cancelled and I am being struck of the register as an NHS patient. I called and was advised I could keep my appoint if I was to go private but they could not treat me under NHS. Absolutely disgusting really and just seems they want to focus on private patients, although NHS patients still pay. Just an absolute disgrace considering I have been a patient with them for 34 years and to then be struck off without no previous communication.
Turned up at my appointment today to be turned away. Was told I’d been sent a letter of cancellation THE WEEK BEFORE I’D EVEN BOOKED THE APPOINTMENT. Received no letter, email or phone call of cancelled appointment and walked an hour round trip for an appointment that never even happened. The fact that their prices exceed the private practice in Brighton I was previously registered with was something I was willing to overlook had my experience with them not been a total shambles!
Absolutely blown away by my dentist. Not a fan of dentists but he put me at ease straight away. Actually enjoyed the visit.
I have recently completed Invisalign treatment with Melissa and it’s been amazing. Every step of the way I have been guided with regular check ups to make sure all was going as it should with perfect results. There was no rush as Melissa wanted to make sure the results were the best they could possibly be. Couldn’t be happier and would recommend Melissa every time
I have a lifelong fear of dentists after having teeth filled in my early teens with no pain relief I went in today for a tooth extraction obviously dreading it I was seen by the lovely Melissa who immediately put me at ease and calmed any fears i had. I ended up having 2 teeth extracted The entire procedure was absolutely painless apart from obviously a slight sting from the numbing injection...At all times during the extractions Melissa was brilliant...constantly asking me if i could feel any pain or if i was feeling ok...I can HIGHLY recommend Melissa and indeed the whole practise team to anybody who like me has a fear of going to the dentist
Being a complete dental phobe but in extreme pain I was lucky enough to have several appointments with the marvellous Mr.Johnathon Jones. I can honestly say that I’ve never had a dentist put me at ease the way he did. I had five extractions, all totally pain free and dentures provided. All the staff were just amazing. Can’t recommend highly enough. If you need an extraction and a giggle at the same time this is the place!!
Having seen some negative comments, I'd like to say having used this practice for years, I've have never had a reason to complain about the service, the receptionist's are always accompanying, and I aways get a text if there's a problem, and also i get a text before my appointment..I normally see Melissa, who is a credit to the practice..
We have a fantastic experience every time we visit. It's never a trauma taking the children they really enjoy being there. Our dentist Jonathan is an absolute gem and really makes our visits enjoyable and entertaining.
Update: I'm pleased to see such an improvement after my appointment today. The whole experience was 100% better than my previous visits. Receptionist, Dental check-up were completed with a friendly smile and patient focus. I understand there are now more dentists which was probably causing a lot of the recent problems and cancellations. Its all much more professional now. Great Hygienist but, that's about it. They never have a full complement of dentists and check ups are usually cancelled for some reason. Worst dentist experience I've had. Told them I had tooth ache on 2 occasions but told me nothing was wrong. Out of desperation I visited Bupa in Warminster and after an x-ray they found a decaying wisdom tooth immediately and extracted it. When I told Trowbridge the dentist just said its difficult to tell with wisdom teeth. Bupa recently took over from Oasis but it hasn't improved. I'm seriously considering a new dentist.
