Had two cabs booked with Alpha Cars to take a group of us home after a wedding. Despite the advance booking, they were more than 45 minutes late - and only came following several phone calls made stood outside in the rain. Once we were collected, one driver was fine thank you! but the second attempted to charge more than the agreed fair. Simply not good enough, especially when trying to transport older/vulnerable people. Recommend you make other arrangements / have them confirm that they are actually going to turn up when they say they will.
These guys seem buttoned up, responded to emails in good time, since I'm an overseas traveler. pre booked. the car arrived within the appointed time and provided good service. Not sure what the bad reviews are about. driver was courteous and helpful.
We have requested the cab from 2am for my wife & son today from Basingstoke Hospital to Reading. The driver Zeeshan arrived at the pick point very quickly, it was a safe and fantastic journey and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get a good and reliable ride. Many Thanks
Excellent service. We pre booked a minibus as there were 8 of us for trips over 2 days back and forth to Carfest festival. Taxi’s we’re on time, the driver’s were friendly and there was good communication via text updates. Definitely recommend and will certainly use again next year.
Do not use this cab company for critical journies. They often do not turn up. My household have had 3 early morning airport journies in the last 3 months where they have not turned up. We nearly missed our flights on all occasions and on one occasion had to drive ourselves to ensure we got our flight. Rather than apologise they try to argue with you over the phone. I have complained to them via email on multiple occasions and not received a response. Customer service is the bottom of their priority list and all they care about is maximising profit. This is the cheapest company in Basingstoke but it’s worth paying a little extra to know they will turn up.
Booked twice in advance with well over three hours notice. The first time after complaining three or four times it arrived nearly an hour and a half late. The second time was about 25 mins late. What is the point in advance booking and not keeping to it? They clearly don’t know what they are doing! Then try and charge standard prices for very poor service.
Second time this month car arrived 15 minutes late. Booked on the app with well over an hours notice. Called the office 10 mins before the car was due and told it will be with me on time. When I spoke with the driver he told me he was given the job 3 minutes prior to turning up. Shocking service.
Poor service as usual. Pre-booked an airport pick-up and they were one hour late! What's the point of prebooking? Only taxi service in Basingstoke and they take advantage of this. Very poor service all the time and staff on the phone are very rude. I hope that one day a different taxi service is introduced to compete with these guys.
Pre ordered a taxi for 16.15 at lunchtime, this was to the train station to make a journey back to London and then onto Essex, which is about 3 hrs. Taxi did not turn up so I missed my first train and had to try and get someone to give me a lift so I could get another train 30 mons later. Called taxi Co three times to enquire where they were and were told they were on their way! Terrible service and they added an additional 30 mins onto a long journey home. I wouldn't mind but I pre ordered this taxi at 1pm!!! Useless taxi firm
Taxi out was booked with ease, and our 15 min drive to location was great no problems, the driver would not be available to collect us when we asked, so gave us a card. When we tried to book later for a 9.15pm collection was told nothing available until 1am, the restaurant tried to book us but said they company seem to have taken over and no ubers allowed in the area. So the restaurant told us our only option was to walk, they were so apologetic and advised us where to fet a bus from. The bus driver was very helpful, but unless you can pre book this company in plenty of time I feel they did not have enough taxis to cover the needs of the area. But if you get one they are good
