I seem to be often at the dentist and whether it's Peter Dooley implanting a, um, implant or Samir Patel giving me a new crown the experience is the same: positive, calming and pain free.
If you're looking for a truly exceptional dental experience, look no further than these guys. I recently had some fillings done there, and it was honestly a pleasure - I never thought I'd say that about a dentist visit! Dr. Samir is an absolute artist. He not only ensured my filling was completely painless and comfortable, but he also made it look identical to a real tooth. His passion for his work really shines through, and he explains everything clearly and patiently. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients' well-being. The entire staff at Oakmead are just as wonderful as Dr. Samir. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality.
I cannot recommend this dental practice enough, specifically, Dr Samir Patel. I attended Oakmead in desperate need of help following failed treatment elsewhere and being left in excruciating pain. I was reassured by Dr Patel from the moment I’d explained the situation, that he would send me home pain free, and he did. His investigations were so thorough, his bedside manner impeccable, his treatment faultless. He was informative, knowledgeable, understanding and sympathetic. He got to the source of pain quickly and efficiently and carried out work to temporarily rectify it, spending over 90 minutes with me on that initial appointment to send me away free of pain. He was gentle and precise and throughout the treatment, Dr Patel continually asked if I was ok, encouraged me that I was doing well and explained each next step and the treatment plan going forward to repair the damage permanently. I even received a telephone call later that evening to see how I was, which I couldn’t answer while at work, Samir made 3 attempts to contact me and then left a voicemail to check on my pain level and make sure I was ok. His aftercare was wonderful. Without a doubt the best dentist you could wish for. Thank you.
Not cheap is any dentist nowadays? but always get good friendly service and excellent treatment and care. Particularly recommend Conor McCluskey - had to deal with unexpected toothache over the Xmas period and he/the practice were flexible and efficient in first proscribing antibiotics pre-Xmas and then when that didn’t work whipping out the offending wisdom tooth on the 28th. Megan also a very reliable and helpful hygienist. Opticians there are very good too - Mark Waine is very engaging and a real character!
I needed an emergency root canal and crown. I am so pleased Samir was looking after me. He calmed my nerves and did a wonderful job.
I have recently went to Oakmead and seen the hygienist Megan. I have to say she is one of the best hygienists Ive met. When I first saw her, I told her I feel nervous and anxious coming to see her and she helped calm my nerves and explained what was happening. Megan - you are a star and keep up the good work!
I cannot recommend the care, skills and professionalism of this dentist enough over the last 25 years
I suffer from health anxiety especially relating to conditions within the mouth, so visiting the dentist can be traumatic for me. Dr Dooley gave me a no nonsense talk about facts regarding the mouth and advice regarding my condition. This advice has been extremely helpful as it has given me a better perspective on my situation. I appreciate his frank and open talk as a comforting voice telling me that everything is fine and he can recheck again if I’m concerned would only be of help temporarily and not help me long term and just fuel my habits. An excellent dentist who is extremely experienced with not only the physical but mental aspects of dentistry - I thoroughly recommend his services!
I saw Dr Samir Patel this morning for 2 fillings, one of which was very deep. Last time I had it done I remember it being extremely painful even after multiple numbing injections. This time round I didn’t even feel a thing! He worked his magic and it was over before I knew it. Very impressed with the final result, you can’t even tell I have any fillings there! Thank you again.
I had an appointment for a wisdom tooth extraction with Dr Samir Patel yesterday. The procedure flew by and Dr Patel's professionalism and competence both went very far in reducing my anxiety. I would recommend him very highly.
