Interesting day out. Lots to see, huge collection of toys, agricultural machinery, tractors, steam engines, commercial signs and products. Very nicely displayed. Good access for wheelchairs. Excellent cafe serving good range of food and drink at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Oakham Treasures is what the name suggests, a treasure trove of memorabilia of everyday items from our past. These items include tractors, road signs, mobile phones, chocolates and sweets and even old street vending machines used to dispense those chocolates. There is also mock ups of an old grocery and pharmacy store that is an excellent display item. There is a cafe on site that produces excellent food at very reasonable prices with generous portions. Relatively speaking, drinks are cheap too; at time of writing, an Americano cost just £1.30p. The cafe, however, is only open two days a week for food; Tuesday's, which is the day I visited, and I believe Thursdays, but check the latter. If you want to see a history of everyday items from our past then I highly recommend a visit. Everything is accessible for the disabled. The museum is closed Sundays and Mondays.

It's a funny menagerie of nick nacks and treasures from bygone years. This is ideal for those who like to reminisce of the products that they used. Old music plays in the background and there's a nice cafe too. Suits the mature visitor. Kids would be bored to tears.
