I would like to say a huge thank you to oakvale medical centre for the excellent care provided to our mother Patricia Davies for over 50 years. My mum has been with the practice since it was Dr Loftus , Dr Duffy & Dr Cranny on Edge Lane before the practice relocated to the fiveways.nMore recently Dr Brennan & his team have continued to provide excellent care & support to our mum.nOur mother has always been treated with the utmost dignity and respect by all the medical team . Being a heart transplant recipient , my mum has needed a lot of care over the years and when she was too poorly to come to the surgery they did an urgent home visit which was greatly appreciated.nThe reception team have also , always been polite & helpful.nMy mum only recently left the practice as she is now in a nursing home .nI cannot thank this wonderful team enough and will be coming in person to thank you all very soon.nThank you for your wonderful care & dedication to our beloved mumnColette Riley-Davies & Andy Davies
The web site says open till 6.30 Thursday nArrive to be told by quite a cold receptionist. We are closed till tomorrow. No explanationnI would not have made the journey had I knownnThe Doctors are incredible. At this practice A few reception staff are not in that catergory. A little dismissing.
I cannot fault this surgery.nAlways very helpful and receptive with any issues for myself or family.nAll staff including reception and GPs are friendly and helpful.
The doctors surgery itself is brilliant. However, they have their phones switched off all morning. No queue to wait, you just call and get line busy until you get through at 10 or 11 and they tell you all appointments are gone.nI don't care if I'm 88th in the queue, I just want to be able to speak to the surgery.
So many people complaining about not being able to get an appointment by phoning! Just use the patches online request system it works extremely well and depending on the serious nature of your agent you will be spoken to within the day or 48 hrs and brought into surgery as urgently as they deem the issue necessary. Prescriptions just order them on the MyGp app not a problem! Polite drs and nurses always listen, esp Dr Brennan and Dr Cannon, lady who does implants oh and love Dr Mo too great with my daughter! Reception staff can be snappy sometimes but it's a stressful job and mostly they're absolutely great and willing to try to work out issues for you. My whole family have moved to this surgery and think it's great!
