Small but pleasant shopping centre very near Finchley Road tube station. The skylight roof always reminds me of Ken Adam's volcano set from the Bond movie You Only Live Twice.nThere's a decent Vue cinema with 12 screens on the first floor and on other floors both Aldi and Sainsbury supermarkets which are both open till 11pm weekday evenings. Very handy for after cinema shopping!nUnfortunately the centre was devastated by Covid and never fully recovered, losing many restaurants. The Homebase at the back of the Centre has also disappeared.nHowever, plans are underway to rejuvenate the Centre and the surrounding area, though I'm not quite sure how long this will take.
One of the shopping centers in West Hampstead, with limited preferences for shopping. Has Aldi and Sainbury along with Vue cinemas which occupies a major part of the mall and a couple of restaurants and an art gallery and a library. Not much to choose from except you wanna do a regular shopping or watch a movie with family.
I love it here. It has a decent Waterstones, and good Cinema, and a big Sainsbury's. I've been coming here since it was built, so I'm sad to see it go.
Could be much more amazing if they replace the food venues and offer more attractions to get footfall back into the place. The upper levels used to be amazing pre-Covid, but now the place feels hollow and empty even though they have a handful of restaurants inside upper floor. Maybe because of the regeneration it's empty but it could be a lot more if the spaces are filled!
Nice place but don’t get any tech devices from the store outside of Sainsbury’s. Bought a charger for a tenner and only lasted 10 days :
