"Let us transport you to the speak-easy world of 1920's Chicago. Where the streets were ruled by unrelenting gangsters, and the drinks inspired by the minds of geniuses.Scotch & Rye is our homage to the hard working, harder drinking people of that era, delivering our signature New York & Chicago inspired burgers, hot dogs and home-cookin', all washed down with great craft brews, unique and award-winning cocktail creations and a service team with an unmatched personality!Just like its predecessors, it is a true chameleon venue. Perfect for meeting friends for a coffee and catch-up, a lazy lunch, bite after work, or something a little more indulgent!"

International review: we have been reviewing a number of the restaurants in Inverness and Scotch & Rye has taken top spot. The venue itself is nice, good music not too loud, nice layout and lighting - great for groups or more intimate occasions. Also it's dog friendly bonus points for the good boiz. The food is very tasty, and it's best described as pub style offerings but done classy. So think burgers and fries but the burgers have a range of flavours and additions, and the fries come in various offerings including delicious loaded fries. We didn't get around to the deserts we got stuck on the cocktails but they looked great and were fairly priced. Portion wise a main and loaded fries is a filling meal, so they are generous starters on top of these or desert may be too much for some!. The range of beers is great we tried the brewtoon and that was fab, but you can do beer flights too for variety. Cocktails are also a great range, the £6 staples are all great, but it you want to go a bit more fancy you're looking at £8-£12 but these are also great offerings. The staff are friendly, prompt, and competent they can split a bill without asking or causing a fuss which is a big win for group dining. Caution: book in advance, even if it's on the same day. They get busy and often only take bookings. We look forward to another visit later this year! Dietary restrictions: Some dishes are able to be made gluten free. Plenty of options for those with restrictions. Also check out the sustainable cocktails
Dog friendly place. Friendly staff and fast services. Decent portions. The reason why I rated only with four is because we ordered 3 different meals/orders and they all have lots of same cheezy sauce. The sauce was good but little bit too much
A dog friendly pub in Inverness. The food is good and the decor is cute. We ordered a few small plates and were happy with it. Drinks menu was thorough.Food: 4/5
Great place directly in the city centre! You’ll get experienced staff, great beers and perfect fries. We haven’t tried the other drinks, but we had a beer tasting and were quite surprised.
Was walking around and came across this place to eat. Honestly, the chicken wings were really good and the flavor was nice. I enjoyed them immensely. Not sure I get many wings that look like these, so I was iffy, but they were very tasty. I kind of wanted more. Service was fairly good here as well and it was a relaxing environment.Food: 5/5
Our server was Kyran and we had no problems at all. Everything we tried was great quality and the meat was delicious and rich. Overall, 10/10 experience and reasonable prices.
Scotch and Rye serves one of the best quesadillas with pork or chicken fillings. The 3 different types of sauces that comes with it was amazing. For 2 medium sized quesadillas for one person, it is reasonably priced. I loved my food and you will too.
Ordered haggis popcorn, steak Philly sandwich, baked jackfruit Mac & cheese. Everything was surprisingly quite good. Portions were generous, and we were quite full after that. Will recommend this place.
Came here for a casual dinner with friends, and had a fantastic evening. If you're looking for a place for decent food, lots of beverages, and a great fun atmosphere, I would check this place out!
We really liked our visit to Scotch & Rye. The burgers were good, wouldn’t say they were anything spectacular. But they were decent for the money, especially given the eat out to help out offer they were running. The sweet potato fries however were excellent. We also loved our drinks, I had the strawberry cosmopolitan and it was one of the best I’ve had. The other drink was a salted caramel White Russian and it went down far too easily, as it was so tasty.
