Free parking and plenty of it. Good play equipment well maintained. Loads of open space, a river, woodland areas, gorgeous views, the train goes by regularly and there are toilets and a cafe part time opening. What’s not to love!
Went for a walk with my friend Debbie. The park isn't particularly big but it's pleasant to walk/jog around. It's also very handy to park here and walk to Rammy when there's a busy event on.nCafe is nice, but basic. It doesn't charge but you are expected to make a donation.nThe guy in there was very nice and helpful.
Not huge by park size standards, but its gated, safe and well thought out. There's plenty of variety too, including swings, climbing frames, roundabouts, zip wire etc. There's even a small fence around its perimmiter to prevent little ones from wandering off. There are also toilet facilties a short walk away. The only downside, it can get very busy at peak times.
Winter walks are always muddy but that is part of it isn't it? It's expected lol but the furry boys don't care & after all it's their time at the end of the day nnSo another muddy exploration, 1st time here, have been checking out quite a few parks, reservoirs, woodland etc etcnnNuttall is good for an hour trek, you have the loop around the park, some woodland & if you navigate a bridge or 2 you can walk along the banks of the Irwell so a decent little stroll & most importantly - plenty of sniffing for the dogs!!nnWill come back again over the next few months, I like to watch places change throughout the seasons & like everyone I am looking forward to warmer, drier days - might have to wait a while for those though
Lovely park. Open and airy with little pockets of interest. The play area is well equipped and enclosed. Tennis courts. Little paths down to the river.
