I really like this cafe. Basic but good food at a fair price.
The best cafe in Shoreham, and only a stones throw from Brighton & Hove. Good hearty breakfasts, and good value. We have at least 3 breckies here a week and sometimes the roast with full trimmings at lunch. Staff are really friendly. *** UPDATE *** the first part of my review was written 11 years ago! So just a quick update to say the cafe is still serving great fry ups and roasts and the staff are full of banter. We love visiting for a quick bacon butty and a cuppa too.
Absolutely love the stuff proper greasy spoon the way I remember in my younger days when I was a builder and the staff are absolutely wonderful I would recommend it to anyone

Tried most cafes around here friday treat this isnt one of the best - be careful of the step as this is only warning you will get before going sprawling - wrong orders - short cuts on service
The worst cafe, I've ever been in , bacon under cooked and cold, beans unedable just a stoge, mushrooms deep fried like chrisps, scrambled egg and bubble was watery and cold , service was appalling both breakfasts were wrong 3 times , no body in the cafe .... NO WONDER WHY
Everything was sticky, no tables clean, had to be highly selective of my cutlery as many had food from past customers still attached. All food was 'value' from the Tesco up the road, tea, beans, sausages the lot. I would happily have paid extra to have quality food. The owner and her family were shouting at each other across the cafe, was just really unpleasant.
Nutmegs is a lovely cafe for all ages to visit. Helen the owner is always there to welcome us with a smile and some friendly footy banter, the breakfast special is my favourite and never disappoints.
Brilliant cafe. Very friendly staff and the food always on point. Special mention to the hash browns, by far the best hash browns in the area
Good food reasonably priced
