Good station. Quite modern, but few facilities inside. Nice coffee shops & cafes nearby. Trains to Victoria and London Bridge.
There is no disabled access to the platforms i see many people carrying there buggies up & down the stairs. Also no ticket barriers at this station. Southeastern and Thameslink services stop at this station.
Coffee Bay sells cheap amazing food! Lovely guy in there very friendly and have vegan food :-
As you approach Nunhead Station there is very little to recommend it, let's be honest, it looks grotty from the outside. Yet a surprise awaits. As you ascend the stairs and glance to your right you are treated to an unexpectedly superb view of the Canary Wharf skyline - which seems to leap out at you. Furthermore, this station, tucked away in a small corner of Nunhead, has excellent links to the city. It's a little rugged and unkempt with no public toilets hence 3 stars but it's a vital and well used station for the local area. Oh yes, the small tuck shop on the platform is very handy and reasonably priced - serving hot drinks, pastries etc. Handy!
And ok station gets you from A to B
convenient in and out of london.
The service works like all other stations, sometimes the oyster machine doesn't work, there is a ticket office but the staff are not very attentive, personally I have never been well served the station has no wheelchair access, no elevator, no bathrooms three stars and the stairs are always dirty, there is a small but useful bar/cafe. The view of the city is pleasant....
