Old refurbished equipment and as I write this, 2 treadmills and 1 cable machine are broken. A considerable amount for a small gym. Air con rarely works. Cleaning is to be desired and 1pm on a Sunday and two out of two toilet cubicles without any toilet roll. Most equipment in this gym is over 15 years old and it’s meant to be a members gym. It’s a disgrace really but only a member due to the people who attend and the actual staff are lovely. You can join a no frills gym with up to date equipment for half if not more of the cost.
I've been a member here for 2 years not and I think it's the best gym in the area by a mile, the Staff are always amazing, the people that workout here are definitely some of the friendliest people about and while the equipment can be quite dated there is very rarely ever a queue or wait to use the machines. I do think the price is high for this gym but if you go on any gym review page there will be people complaining about the price i do think running a gym with a pool sauna and steam does get a bit pricey.
I don't use the gym ,but would like to thank Gemma, the manager and Bethany on reception for their patience, kindness and understanding this morning when I received a parking charge notice which was down to misinformation from Leatherhead Theatre and a SatNav that gave out the wrong location. If more people were like them, the world would be a better place!
Hi I have only been to this swimming pool and sauna once. I haven't swam in a very long time. The staff as I booked in helped me to register my car as I use a mobility scooter. Got down to the pool and swam for a bit but my back was hurting as I swam. There was a lovely lady next to me suggested I use a float and swim on my back not a member of staff it made me feel like not just the staff but the members were very helpful. After the sauna I went to rinse off before going in the pool but had a back pain that made me have a fall.nThe staff were outstanding soon around me making me feel in very good hands, they asked how I feel and done a quick check to make sure I was ok. They helped me to my feet and I sat on the bench and had a drink of water, still surrounded by staff. Once I was able to move they helped me to my mobility scooter so I could get changed. They took all my details as they need to hold a record and was left feeling ok.nHalf past eight that night I got a call from a member of staff checking up to make sure I was ok now that is members care OUTSTANDING staff doing the best for the company they work for and should be commended.nIf you live near here I fully recommend this fitness center without reservation.
Staff is superb! Generally really helpful and always lovely always ready to go the extra mile.nnThe gym is definitely not worth the full price!nnEquipment, especially cardio, is ridiculously obsolete. I have been using more modern treadmill in the 80's!nIt needs a good all around renovation. Water dispensers, dryers, lockers and more.nnThe booking system for classes is just wrong! it's impossible to find a class. Given the nature of the system, people book overbook all the classes in advance, and cancel last minute.nMost of the time I am n.10+ on a waiting list the night before, and I got my booking confirmed at 6 am! how am I suppose to plan my week?nnThe small and lacking of mirrors stretching area is adjacent to the spinning class. Why?????!!!!!!!!nThe spinning instructor is always try do do its best to motivate the class, but I definitely don't want laud music and a energetic trainer whilst I try to do yoga or stretching!nnWhy don't just putting plasterboards and a door, like in every gym n the world, rather than doing open space? It seems rather an odd and cheep choice.nnAlso, Spinning is very basic. Every gym has great technologies for spinning. there is soo much out there and what they do is very obsolete. I have even done spinning watching my avatar competing with the rest of the class or in team on a giant screen.nnIt's just very disappointing for that price point.nnI do hope that help!
