All the staff were amazing except 1. This place is more like a 4 star hotel than a hospital. Its set in beautiful grounds overlooking the English Channel. It was my birthday when I was in there and one of the nurses went and got me a cake. I couldn't praise the staff enough except for 1 misery guts.
Bit rocky with the admin process at the start of my treatment, due to changing of hands during COVID, but the actual treatment/ surgery was absolutely excellent, I felt comfortable and the surroundings are spectacular to look at from your room window. If not for the admin I would give it 5 stars :
Unfortunately, pretty slow and inefficient. Surprises me to realise that the NHS services I received in the past for free have been far more efficient and proactive than this place. It is dragging on and on for months now, i haven't moved an inch from where i started when i reached out to them in May, not even with a surgery booking still. Go elsewhere if you can, especially for thousands and thousands of pounds. You deserve better.
An absolutely amazing experience at the Nuffield Hospital, Brighton. I attended the hospital for a hysterectomy performed by Mr Peter Larsen-Disney. Everything from the first consultation, to the pre-op appointment to the actual operation and after care were second to none. I cannot fault any of it and Mr Larsen Disney, is not only professional and knowledgable he is caring, kind and makes you feel totally at ease. I would absolutely recommend the hospital and Mr Larsen-Disney to anyone!
Phone communication was extremely bad. I suspect the woman on the phone didn't like self pay patients. She told me I need a referral to see one of your doctors, who is then able to offer me a 30min consultation for 200gbp to then book the test I was looking for. Why do I need a GP referral to see one of your doctors? I am paying myself, because I was looking for faster treatment in this matter. This came up after I told her about my symptoms. I suspect she made her own diagnosis and thinks I don't need to see someone. She told me the NHS is fully booked and that her child had to wait for more than 6 month. My enquiry had nothing to do with the NHS. I have to travel to London now. In London my GP referral letter is enough to do the test without an additional 30min consultation that is not necessary at all.
I have been an in-patient at this hospital on two occasions and on both found the staff to be fantastic: professional, attentive and friendly. The facilities are also excellent.
My daughter needed an ultrasound so to book we had a phone call with a woman by the name of Vanessa. She was rude and I am appalled by her moody, grumpy, and unfriendly behaviour. Due to Vanessa’s pure arrogance and impoliteness we will be booking an ultrasound elsewhere. What a disgrace.
Stayed here today for my knee operation. Hospital was extremely clean and represented well. Parking was easy and once booked in at reception was free. My surgeon was excellent and everyone who assisted me today were polite, professional and extremely helpful. Special mention for my nurse Mark who booked me in and to Peter who was so professional and caring. My physio was extremely helpful. All the staff were amazing from arrival to departure and couldn’t be anymore amazing. Thank you to you all.
Best stay in hospital I've had. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Dr Ross did amazing job. Place was warm and very clean and had a lovely view. Nice warm clean private room. Food was lovely as well
Goodness me. You pay for private medical treatment and you come across a jobsworth receptionist. She didn't have a clue what she was talking about and was very rude. We always go to Haywards Heath and will never come back to Brighton again. Anyone would think she was paying for our care. Being a manager in a medical establishment myself she would never work for me.
