I would like to thank Dr. Cohen's team, the chemotherapy unit and The Drake Ward for the amazing care they have given and keep on giving to my mother. All the care has been excellent and every nurse and doctor has been polite and caring. I would recommend the chemo care here to everyone- it has been brilliant. The Filipino nurses on Drake ward are also especially caring and gentle. ... yes we have waited at A& E, yes sometimes things do jot go to plan and a few times the nurses have been extremely busy and we have had to wait... but the care outweighs those experiences. Grateful and thankful for Northwick park hospital.
Last Friday i had an appointment for my son booked by 111 in this hospital first time in this hospital Because of the hospital reviews I felt really scared to bring him here. But I need to tell you that everything was more than I expected. My son ,6 years old,had an appendicitis surgery. From A&E reception to further departments, Rainbow center,Jacks place, and all the surgeons team I had the best experience ever . All of them were very helpful, kind, knowledgeable, friendly and professional people. I had all the support during my son surgery, the room were we slept very clean, with amazing facilities for kids to play. The food very good and tasty. I have no words to express my respect and appreciation for the way we were treated. Many many thanks to all of you for the wonderful work that you have done.
I can’t say enough good things about the way my father has been treated at Northwick Park. From his A&E admission which was thorough and efficient, to his stay in Jonson Ward, the wonderful staff have gone out of their way to help him with his diabetes, his respiratory infection and his mobility issues. OT proactively assessed and put a care plan in place BIG thank you to Jess!. Everywhere I went in the hospital it was spotlessly clean. Keep up the good work - you are an amazing hospital!
Not everyone is bad or rude. There so many amazing kind people working there. But there's an 1 odd person who'll be rude to you specially when you're not rude to them. I was been polite while this A&E nurse was been rude to me. Unbelievable. But all the other staff was unbelievably kind. 1 rude person destroys the reputation of others as well. Please teach them to be kinder and nicer, specifically to the people who are nice to them. People are not coming to a hospital to be treated badly or to see anyones attitude.
Went in there saying I can't breathe properly, had to wait for 4 hours for an initial assessment, then when the doctor finally saw me, said I'm all good and it's just mucus build up in my lungs so just some hot soup and hot tea or hot baths will do the trick. So wasted my whole evening there, end up coming home with no prescription and still not being able to breathe properly. Rubbish!
I have had some mixed experiences here over the years including childbirth but the doctors and nurses in the paediatric A&E today were absolutely amazing with my son who had a severe burn on his hand. A great team who are amazing with children and love what they do! Thank you
Horrible staff! Front desk receptionist was very rude . Had to wait for 7long hours for an emergency reaction. The least the receptionist could do was be kind. Nurses were rude as well. Horrible place to go to for an emergency. They don’t attend to old People well. My heart broke . I had to get out of the hospital crying. Had a very traumatic experience. Staff needs to be trained with some kindness and empathy! The least we could expect during hard times.
I drove to the hospital A&E with my brother. As soon as we are arrived. Someone at the reception welcomed us and asked of the symptoms. Then we by passed the que to see a doctor then blood sample been taken, X ray been done . Same day results and my brother heal and treated very well. Thank you for the service all the nurses and doctors. Yes the process is a little bet slow but but it was also really crowed.
6 hours into it, still here and Dr Ayaz just disappeared.. they tried to find him but he was nowhere to be found. If you don't approach the staff they won't know you are waiting on something or the other. Suggest you follow up from time to time. The nurses tried to get a hold of him for around 2 hours without success. Eventually one of them walked over to call him after my insistence and he came another hour later. At this point I had been here for 8 hours. However he disappeared again, presumably this time to write up my report I was told. To make matters worse the doctor was ill informed. He asked me at one point what the next steps are. This was before the scan and right after the blood works. That shook my confidence a bit. Around 8:30 I been here since 12 noon he handed me the exact same prescription my GP had given me already which I had informed him of earlier on the day. He handed me the discharge letter and the prescription. Didn't discuss my case. I asked him the size and where it was which he told me only because I asked. That was about it. Left just a little before 9. One of the nurses Janice was very ki d and helpful especially in listening to a number of the other patients. Bless her!
I cannot rate this hospital and especially Florence ward and delivery ward less than 1 star unfortunately! Having our first baby here was a nightmare! The patient was called in for an induction! After 2 days waiting in the hospital she finally got induced and then had to wait atleast 24 hrs for the delivery but she was made wait another 2 days because they had no bed available! And then in the delivery room the midwife were not even bothered with anything! The patient has Very poor English And they kept shouting at the patient over the most littlest things. And then after 18 hrs of labour she was finally ready to give birth! And the midwife was Freda ! She was the worst human being i had seen in my life. She said to wait one hour until the baby is ready to be pushed out, and then left the room where the patient was screaming out of pain. For one hour she did not even bother to look. After an hour she told the patient to push. Constantly shouting at her , and when the baby after hours of pushing was nearly there the mum was not in her senses and scratched herself! The midwife started shouting at her again to stop otherwise she would call the social services and has to report this as self harm! I had the greatest shock of my life. As a mother of 2 i know how important it is when theres someone by your side to comfort you. I told her what are you saying? She said yes thats what will happen , and i said but shes not in her senses, you know what condition shes in and the pain shes going through. The mother keps screaming to cut her, but the midwife refused and once the baby was born, she tears all over the place! And when stitching, the patient was uncomfortable and screamed once! She said can you stop doing that because you are making it look like im hurting you on purpose. And then she actually decided not to stitch the other tears because she could not tolerate the patient screaming. She went out of the room and told that the mother scared all the staff and patient in this ward with her screams. I said we could hear soo many other mums screaming when giving birth. Its the most normal thing. Please avoid this hospital at any cost! You are worth to be treated better than this! The patient is still in the hospital and its been 10 days since she was called in for induction! And its only Rude midwifes, delay in everything, and through out the whole 10 days no actual doctors have seen her even once! A BIG NO NO NO TO THIS HOSPITAL
