We did not wait very long to be seen. Staff were very helpful. Really appreciate the support given by the team. Cant fault this hospital at all. Thanks to all NHS staff. You are all wonderful. Very clean hospital
Took my sister in for an ingrown toe nail treatment and they were lovely. The staff took care of her. Despite a negative experience from our GP who delayed us for 7 months the doctors here speed up the process and got her surgery done. We are glad it was only 1 day that we had to spend waiting at the hospital, this could have been faster but it is very understandable as we came into the emergency department/day care. Thank you too all the staff.
I have arrived to this hospital at 13:20 with high blood pressure 182/118, and been seen my nurse only at 14:50 just to check my BP, which was still high. The nurse said that it is not very high, whereas in other hospitals patients like me seen as soon as possible! Still waiting if doctor will want to see me. I might leave this place as nothing is taken in consideration. People pay for NI, but do they deserve such as poor service? No mutter how busy are they, it has to be better please.
This hospital is a shambles. I took my daughter to A&E and she was sent away after tests saying everything is fine even though she needed painkillers for the pain she was in. Also, the blood tests for children used to be a walk in service, no appointment necessary. Now, you have to call up to book and there's nothing available for a month. I went there not knowing it's changed to appointment only and even though the place was dead they still were adamant I have to call up. Something that was simple and easy has now been made unnecessarily difficult. What nonsense.
Rude staff, got sent a letter Thursday and then a text Friday that I had an appointment on Monday and would be under general anesthesia. Called 4 times at various points of the day today to get through to rearrange. Not even taking into account people work and have livelihoods in a cost of living crisis and the short notice would not be welcomed in most work places. She asks why I couldn't make it, I explained I wouldn't even be here as I'm travelling for work. She abruptly cut me off and then told me she had no other appointments at all and would text the next one and hung up on me. Why text me the cost to the NHS for failing to attend appointments and when you try and resolve this, you're met with abrupt rude staff when their patients are already be going through some emotional health concerns/surgeries. Could she not just check availability to see if I could even make the next date, I'm pretty flexible but to say you have zero appointments, I'm literally free the remainder of the year?? Provided I can atleast get a weeks notice?? How can they be so fully booked but give less then 24 working days notice....but now not have any availability. This procedure is not life threatening. Chase farm are far better would much rather this be conducted there. I'm not sure I can trust a hospital where I've seen first hand how staff treat their patients
My dad suffered a seizure last Thursday and was taken to this hospital. The doctors ran some tests and then sent him home on Saturday. They then called and told him that he has to come back and be admitted until Tuesday or Wednesday as his health was in a critical condition. The nurse even said that they found a tumour that could be cancer in his brain which was the size of an apple. This news made my family and I so worried so I accompanied my dad on Sunday and we waited for 4/5 hours to be told that there wasn’t a room available for him so to just go home and come back on Monday. He was in the hospital all day on Monday from 9am til 7pm and still no room was available for him. Yesterday he suffered another seizure at home and he was taken to this hospital again and now he is still waiting for a room to be available. My dad could have died and the hospital wouldn’t care. This hospital truly is the worst. It is unorganised, the staff are rude and unprofessional. This was the worst experience of my life.
Cannot fault this hospital, had a bad last night, my nearest hospital is PAH but as my husband and mum are under a consultant here decided to come here. A&E very busy and kept informed of the wait time. Was seen too quickly, cleaned up, x-rayed all in 2hrs. Very impressed with the politeness of staff. Shame some members felt the need to abuse them. Thank you Alice care practitionerfor your TLC and laughter makes a big difference when pain prevails.
I had my first baby there, the experience was lovely The midwifes were so nice, and they were there with me all the time, the birth centre was very clean and everything is new, the staff was lovely too. I don’t have anything bad to say about it, it was an amazing experience altogether. Thank you
Every time I’ve been to the walk-in urgent care centre of this hospital for sore throats, strep, etc the staff have been lovely. Yes, as to be expected, you do have to wait a few hours at times what do you expect with a walk-in appointment, but as soon as you’re with the doctor they are thorough and efficient.
Very Mixed experiences - In March 2022 was great, bordering on 4 stars, now in Sep 2022 its barely a two star. Inconsistent quality of nurses, too busy to look after you normally. 6hrs waiting time, then stuck in 'majors' assessment seat for 24hrs as no beds available, cramped noisy and torturous...is this progress...poor management is evident unfortunately and its the patients that suffer and if able giving up and going home or elsewhere if they can survive. The whole operation is disjointed, and lacks professionalism, instead of listening and connecting to patient concerns they are doing the bare minimum, rushed and creating errors.
