Went into Highgate Private Hospital to get an operation. The hopital is very clean and the rooms are impressive; if not for the bed, you'd almost forget you are in a hopital. Staff were kind and patient, and everyone was super helpful; I felt like I was in very safe and capable hands throughout my stay. The only thing which I didn't really like was the food post operation which I felt wasn't easy to digest small sandwiches. If you're reading this because you are due a surgery in this hospital, you can now relax and enjoy the journey!
The admin team are a complete disaster. They never answer the phone, make mistakes all the time, double book, and cancel appointments at the last minute. Twice I’ve been made an appointment when the specialist was not even in the country. The idea of having surgery here terrifies me but I have to have faith the people actually doing the medicine are competent.
Not transparent about hospital fees. Ended up with a £333 bill for "hospital fees" from a 30 minute consultation and nasal endoscopy which I paid for separately to investigate congestion issues. These hospital fees are more than the cost of the actual consultation and procedure and were not made clear at any point in the process. Very exploitative practice, ensure you ask about costs explicitly throughout the process to avoid getting ripped off , they will take advantage at the first opportunity.
I've been under the care of Mr Yeh, who I found to be very knowledgeable, experienced and professional. The experience during my day admittances was excellent. All the staff were very kind, caring and polite - from the reception staff to the nurses, theatre staff, anaesthetists and catering staff. To the cleaning staff too because the hospital is absolutely spotless. Thank you to everyone who looked after me and kept checking in on me after my procedure. A special thank you to Arora who gave me that little extra attention and kindness. Also to Mirela S who was on duty when I was discharged. She was very helpful and her reassurance every step of the way when I felt a little anxious meant alot to me. Thank you to everyone! Best wishes Eleni Helen
I had knee surgery the hospital and physio therapy after.I had my operation earlier than planned due to a cancellation.Then the physio after has got me back to being able to do everything I wanted in particular my adult ballet class.
Front of house staff and clinic receptionists poorly trained, and the phone is never answered. To get any attention/appointment I need to go there in person and ask to speak to someone. There are always clerical/reception staff there, so why are the phones never answered? If possible, elect to see your chosen medic at another hospital. It will save you a lot of hassle.
Called to make an appointment a few times, always ended up on hold for ages. No callback option. Unfortunately we've come to expect that from the NHS and doctors surgery, but when you're paying?
Excellent standard of care for my day surgery, could not have been better. Everything and everyone I had contact with was excellent, and an excellent standard of medical care.
Wow the rooms are clean! I had my own room with it bathroom with shower better then any hotel in the UK. The staff are amazing, like nurse Claudia . She was funny and caring. She was always the friendly smile I look forward to seeing when I press my nurse button as she always gave me the extra confidence to help me walk again, with full support all the way! I was truly bless to have her as my nurse ! Day staff is the best, always with a smile. I would advise to go here, as it is best hospital I had experienced, I had been in nhs and other private hospital previously. This hospital come as no 1 by over a million. Everything is modern and up to date with their technology to avoid blood clot in patients. I think the other negative reviews are unfair as they didn't experience the actual in patients service. Keep up the good work !
I had foot surgery there earlier this year and have just finished my physio. Excellent care and friendly and competent staff. Special mention to my surgeon Mr Chandrashekar and my physio Omoniyi Ojapinwa. My foot is so much better than before the surgery - happy patient
