Friendly staff, keen prices and a welcoming point of sale service. The hire delivery staff are top notch too and have always been mindful when delivering and collecting plant from me. I've also had the on site engineers and, again, brilliant service.
Worst costumer service in London Very unprofessional staff
Hired a ladder from the shack well lane branch 12/05/2021, upon return of the ladder one of the yard workers removed the ladder from the top of my van and damaged the paintwork. Having raised the issue with one of the members of staff in the office I was subsequently told that it was my fault for letting their staff remove the item from my vehicle and any damage to my vehicle came "at my own risk" regardless of who was at fault. Would strongly recommend you avoid this company if you value your vehicle.
I found North London Plant Hire to be very helpful and gave specific advice for the job. I hired a breaker to remove a fence post for the in-laws and they made sure I had the right tool for the jobs with extra long bits to reach into the hole. Great service. I will definitely use again
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I can honestly say, that because of NLPH, my projects were completed on time since I was able to reserve and hire floor sanders. Ashley is the key figure at the front desk who knows the tools and is always keen to help. Thanks! Tomas, Lucky Cloud Painting.

Great company to work with - always good service and friendly staff.
Wow wow wow! I live in Birmingham and visited my mother in law in Enfield to fix a broken drain gully. I needed a breaker as my tools wouldn’t touch it. So I googled “tool hire near me” and NLPH came up. I called them and they recommended me a Hilti medium machine advising that for a few quid more than the small machine it’ll save my back bending. I’m a very keen and competent DIYer and there was no intimidation with tech talk, the assistant was proper good. He armed me with the right chisels, transformer, and extension and hired them free which was a nice touch. The Hilti broke through 3 layers of 4” concrete with ease. Proper kit! When I returned I looked at their kit in the yard and its all mint condition, new looking and proper industrial brands. I asked the guy about the brands they hire and he said “we only buy the best brands for reliability and performance. Our customers see this when the hire and use the kit and simply come back”. An off the cuff comment and yet so powerful – I would use that line on their home page!! Don’t go elsewhere, these guys hire the best kit for the right money……….anything else is a compromise or false economy especially in London with more pressing time pressures. I wish these guys were in Birmingham, I’d be hiring their kit for fun!! I look forward to using you again Gabe
Based on my experience they are not knowledgeable about the products they are selling. Besides that when asked to get a refund because I was mis-sold a product they initially refused to give me a refund, even if I was entitled to it up to a year after my purchase and this was a week after. Eventually I got my partial refund, however it was not straightforward. Not recommended to anyone.
Used Nlph as my plant hire place for over 12 years. Great service, prices and advice A N D Property Maintenance
