Visited recently for my fathers funeral, the grounds are simply beautiful and will only get better over the years as the landscaping matures. The building itself is bright and airy and in very good order. The services offered are of very good quality, modern screens for video tributes, great sound and an image projection throughout the service. Thank you for making what was a very hard day just a little less stressful.
Beautiful Crematorium opened in 2017, tasteful, modern, bright and an excellent sound system. The staff were very helpful, curtious and friendly. The grounds are very attractive, neat and well set out and will only get better as the trees and plants mature. We definitely picked the right place for my Mother's funeral and final resting place.
As a funeral celebrant I cannot recommend NHM highly enough. The staff are so respectful and approachable. Donna and Paul look after the inside while Rick - who has been there since it opened - looks after the beautiful grounds. He has done an amazing job of creating the remembrance gardens as well as planting all the shrubs and flowers that bring colour throughout the year. The long sweeping driveway is impressive although it can be a bit windy when you walk round to the waiting room. The level of cleanliness has been second to none before and during the pandemic. Everything is flat so no tricky steps to negotiate for wheelchair users. The tv screens are easy to see for the memorial videos in the service room and waiting room. The service room is light and inviting rather than the older ‘darker’ traditional crems. The catafalque and service room have a light that can change to your choice - pink, blue, green, orange etc at the time of the committal, it’s really subtly done and can be very moving. As are many crems, they are connected to the Obitus media system which has an extensive range of music and hymns, they can set photos and video to music as well as webcasting for the family and friends unable to make the service. Although I do think there should be a camera to watch the processional part outside, to see the hearse, horse and carriage, the motorbike or hot rod hearses. The webcasts have been invaluable during the pandemic. Obitus go the extra mile to try and source your music however obscure it is! If you want to see ‘behind’ the scenes there is a viewing room too. I personally think it is one of the nicest places in North Hertfordshire to have a cremation or burial service. Of course you are there for a sad occasion but it doesn’t have to be dark and gloomy. Memoria have got a wonderful balance with making North Herts Memorial Park and Crematorium the perfect resting place.
I have sadly had to attend 2 funerals here In recent months. The grounds are beautiful. The building is tasteful. The staff were amazing, supportive and so well organized. The service was seamless from start to finish. Thank you to a brilliant team that made an awful time, easier to bear x
Quiet place to say goodbye to people you have loved
As a retired priest I've taken a few services at North Hertfordshire Memorial Park and Crematorium - the staff have always been helpful and kind in their concern for visitors as well as their assistance to me.
The grounds of this place are beautiful, lots of greenery and places to contemplate. The staff are good and welcoming.
I've been to two funerals here so far, and they have been handled very well.
