Had a fabulous time here, worth a visit. Whilst it isn't cheap, the food makes up for it - very tasty. Can recommend the ox tongue, duck and sticky toffee pudding, all were sublime. The interior of the restaurant is very dark, which adds to the ambience. What was nice is that no music was playing, which meant the conversation flowed as easily as the wine. To call it a wine list would be a disservice, it's more a wine book! Very extensive wine list, and you can tell they know their stuff. Worked our way through a bottle of red and white, and was able to try different ones in 75ml quantities. Would recommend for special occasions, you'll need to save up though: a meal for 2 comes to around £170.

Cosy place with helpful and nice staff. In busy times reservation is recommended. The oxtail with horseradish and peas is amazing. Great combination. The Guinea fowl is also delicious especially the sauce that it comes with. Great wine selection with daily specials - make sure to check out the blackboard. It is a bit on the pricey side though, expect to leave around £50 per head for a starter, a main and a glass of wine.

Superb. Great food, although a little pricey on mains. Starter slip sole in a smoked butter was stunning, main turbot was nice but overpriced, blood orange cheesecake dessert amazing too. We also had two sticky toffee puddings to share courtesy of the chef for a friend's birthday. Amazing service, helpful, attentive, polite and humorous. A credit to the restaurant. In all, excellent

Great food. This place is known for their vast range of wine selection, ask the waitress for the wine menu and they will give you a thick menu list for wines. Food was okay, they could have given more variety to the food list, maybe 2 or 3 more menu. Pork belly was pretty oily. The place was okay, getting crowded after 6pm

I don't usually spend big on food and wine but took my gf here for her birthday. The food was incredible, the decor makes it really cosy and if you want to splash out on wine then this is the place. Worth every penny even if my bank disagrees.
