Historic site for train aficionados. Timetable to/from Manchester needs sorting out 2 trains within 6 minutes of each other every hour not great planning.

A traditional historic railway station on the Liverpool to Manchester Railway. Steam trains pass through occasionally.

Huge thanks to the staff at Oxford Road and Newton-le-Willows stations for tracking down the bag my husband had managed to leave on the platform at Oxford Road and delivering it on to Newton-le-Willows for us to collect.  Fantastic service!
