Newhaven Town Station is served by Southern trains which go to Seaford and Brighton Stations. Train services from this station is every 30 minutes there is disabled access to both platforms and this station has no ticket barriers or staff here. The local bus stop is right outside the station was quiet and clean.
How you say a train station with locked toilets, ticket office closed and there’s no staff on station. Very bad. No barriers on gate and its street level platform. Trains for Brighton, London and Lewes. Btw didn’t like much this station.
Great station to get to the DFDS Terminal. A short walk from a retail park. Station has a ticket machine but a rather small old set of platforms.nnOverall - provides and serves a purpose, good station but not so frequent services.nnBenefits nowadays that the 313’s are gone is that there are toilets onboard the trains!
The station and area too for that matter have clearly had better times in the past. Nowadays it's just a basic station with some good bus connections and a retail park nearby.nnFacilities are satisfactory and the ticket office is open in the morning. A permit to travel machine is on the platform towards Seaford but as I found out the hard way, it's broken.
There is no ticket barriers here whatsoever but it’s a short walk to get to the closest KFC and McDonald’s as well as the town centre in Newhaven from Newhaven Town station.nnGiving this train station 4 stars and a solid 6.5 out of 10.
