Ice cream parlour & farm cafe

Story

Newfield Dairy has opened a brand new Ice Cream Parlour & Cafe on our family dairy farm in a beautiful rural part of Nottinghamshire where you will be able to indulge in our own home made, farm fresh ice creams and sorbets together with a range of delicious cakes and savouries, coffee, tea and other dairy delights. Great breakfasts and home made burgers!

Come and warm yourself by our fantastic wood burning stove and take in the stunning view.

We will also have an educational/function room for school visits to the farm from early 2012.

There will be a great playground for our younger visitors (usable from Spring 2012) and ample on-site parking.

Our lovely little ice cream trailer will also be visiting local events and will be available for hire at parties, weddings or other outdoor events.

We are child friendly and have plenty of wide doorways to allow easy access for our less able visitors.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Fabulous icecream, brilliant weather, nice views. Dog friendly and kids play area. The queue was quite long but we expected that on such a lovely day. Girls behind the counter were efficient and polite. Lots of choice and nice and clean. Can't wait to go back!
Really nice ice cream. Creamy and sweet. The sorbet is also particularly delicious. The vegan ice cream is a new addition and really enjoyed the raspberry flavour. Had a banana ice cream milkshake and was disappointing. Was expecting a blended ice cream milkshake. Thick etc. But ended up with a glass of milk maybe with banana flavour in it? And a couple of scoops of ice cream in it... Not what I envisaged. Overall good ice cream, but I'd advise steering clear of the "special" sundaes etc. The basic ice creams are much better value and simply delicious!
Fabulous place to stop off for a treat. Ice creams were delicious, the banana was my favourite really flavourful. Seating indoors and outside with a lovely view over fields and hills. Staff were great. Large car park.
Took my son for a treat, on the outset prices might seem a little expensive but it's about on par with other similar establishments, and the food seemed to be home cooked and not processed rubbish...there was plenty of room inside and there's a play park outside for younger children as well as picnic tables to sit at for sunny days, anyway after looking at the varied menu I decided to have just a latte and a piece of millionaire shortbread, my son choose 3 different flavours of ice cream from about 12 different flavours, which was about £5.50 ish but it wasn't bad for the price as when the tub came over to the table with very generous portions of the flavours my son choose, also the flavours of ice cream have chunks of strawberry or fudge in etc, my son devoured his desert and said it was delicious, well worth a visit if you want to have some hearty good food followed by some very nice deserts...would recommend
Very good service with absolutely fantastic ice cream. For such a luxury the cues on warm days can be long. However the ice cream is worth the wait. A well deserved five stars and I must mention the friendly service, I would recommend this place for all.

Two out of three times we've been left disappointed so I doubt we'll be visiting again. Our food took 40 mins to arrive which is fine, it was busy and that's understandable. However we realised the loaded fries we ordered had no crispy onions as the menu & price represent. As opposed to acknowledging our issue and resolving it, the young girl who brought us the food had a rather distasteful attitude telling us they don't come with onions, after explaining to the staff member they do. "I will go and check with the kitchen then but there is a rush and i can't leave the kitchen unattended" and walked off, as if the issue they don't employ enough staff is the customers fault. We were eventually brought a tiny portion 8 shreds of onion for 3 portions of fries. The remainder of the onions came 5 minutes after we'd all finished our food, the staff member didn't even consider that and take them back when they were dropped on the table. The food itself was poor considering the price, the best comparison I can give is school diner chips and rubbery pre grated cheese which was cold on top. We had the same item off the menu last time and the difference was extreme. I can accept orders can be wrong, I can accept a place is busy, but bad attitude from staff and poor food at those prices is not acceptable.
Bought the loaded fries bbq and cheese was told it would be a while so waited patiently. 30 minutes later two of the 3 came out and none had the advertised crispy onions on which were amazing last time we mentioned this to the young girl who bought the food over and was told they don't do crispy onions. We told her that the menu said otherwise and they were available two weeks ago. Instead of an apology we were told they were incredibly busy as she went to the kitchen to check which we thought has attitude behind it. They then bought out a sauce bowl with around 5 peices of onion in. There were 3 portions of the fries.. and these were not crispy to add insult to injury... Then 5 minutes later another bowl of onions arrived after all the food was finished again these were not crispy. Usually I wouldn't moan about onions.. but when your paying 9.50 for some frozen fries with pre grated cheese on top And a bit of pulled pork you want it all there. All in all the service was shocking and prices don't match the quality... the ice cream is however great they should just stick to that
Fantastic place to visit, the Ice cream is unreal!! We visited at lunch time and it was really busy. Food arrived promptly and was very nice. It was quite pricey but very enjoyable. We would probably go back if we are ever in the area again. Staff were very friendly.
Delicious Fathers Day treat, amazing service, amazing ice cream and due to this pandemic they have done everything to keep the customers and the staff safe. Well Done! Nice to view the little visitors while we stood in line too.
