We stayed two weeks this June at Ness Street Cottage. Our stay was memorable for many reasons. From my first inquiry all emails and questions were answered promptly and there were many considering the nature of our visit. We were staying in the Northumberland area without a car and planned on days out walking so the proximity of the cottage was perfect, a short walk to town and all public transportation. Julian's Ness Street guide and links to shopping and things to do in the area helped us to make the decision to let his cottage. We received PDF files of maps and housekeeping details before traveling to England- all information was most helpful. Julian's notes about the cottage were very clear and specific so we had no questions about how things work! The cottage was exactly as described on his website. We (four adults) had plenty of space; the cottage would be perfect for a family. We loved the bright kitchen and ate all our meals there even though there is a dining room. The kitchen was well-equipped, plenty of pots and pans and dishes. Wifi access and cable television worked fine. All bedrooms were airy and bright- beds comfortable. The bathrooms and the showers were in perfect order. Anyone interested in booking the cottage will not be disappointed. The cottage is fantastic; Berwick Upon Tweed and Northumberland area are certainly worth a visit. Thanks, Julian for making our stay at Ness Street so special.

We had a great weeks holiday at this terrific house. It has everything you could need, it was comfortable, spacious and of very high standard. We ate out in the courtyard a few times as its so lovely with all the flowers and is so peaceful too. Berwick itself is a lovely place, with super beaches and if you are a walker, theres no limit to where you can go! Northumberland is a great county, so beautiful. The owner is very helpful with lots of info on the area. We highly recommend a holiday here.
