Ferry Meadows is hands down one of Peterborough’s best outdoor spots — a sprawling, beautiful country park that has something for everyone. Whether you're after a peaceful stroll, a fun family day out, or just some fresh air, this place delivers.nnThe sheer amount of space is one of its biggest draws. Wide open fields, scenic walking and cycling trails, and lakes that shimmer under the sun make it perfect for escaping the daily grind. You can walk for hours or just pitch up with a picnic and soak in the view.nnThe amenities are top-tier. There are well-maintained toilet facilities, a charming café for hot drinks and snacks, and even water sports and boat hire for the more adventurous. Parking is ample and reasonably priced, with easy access to key areas.nnParents will be especially pleased — the kids’ play areas are brilliant. There are multiple parks scattered throughout the grounds, each catering to different age groups, all clean, safe, and packed with fun equipment.nnFerry Meadows combines natural beauty with convenience, making it an ideal go-to all year round. Whether it's a quiet solo walk or a family day with the kids, it’s always a good idea.
Parking £4-8. Very beautiful and scenic. Cafe was busy and their way of doing drinks was odd, tea was made and put on the tray but we had to wait for the coffee they hold back the tray so tea was cold. Coffee was around £4, cake £4 . Watersports and activities available on site for extra charges. Picnic area and play park. Short walk around the lake and some other paths that we didn't get chance to visit as it was just a short visit.
Beautiful place has a lot to offer, play areas, BBQ, pedal boats, and lots of walking trails.nA small train that takes you on a tour of the park, cafes and toilet facilities.nVarious parking locations which you pay when you leave.nVery pretty place, would definitely return for another visit.
A Beautiful Country Park,Long riverside and Lakeside Walks, Lots off Wildlife including OTTERS. Excellent Parking,Not over expensive.Nice Cafe again Not expensive. Good Clean toilets, Though few and far apart. Lots to keep kiddies interested including Play areas and boat ride.
My favourite local place. It’s 5min drive from my work so I enjoy to come here for a walk around the lake before my work. Or to come here with friends and family for a walk, biking, BBQ lots of locations, 3 amazing playgrounds for kids and beautiful restaurants. Lots of activities here!
