Just spent 5 nights relaxing at this well run site. We found everything to be well run, clean, extremely pleasant staff and luckily for us lots of sunshine. We had are bikes and cycling around the park was very easy. The park is beautiful. We also got bus into Peterborough easy flat walk but for some it’s a good 20 minute walk all on the flat Peterborough was ok but nothing to write about, would not bother to return. Overall staying at Ferry Meadows was just perfect.
Just back from a week at F.Meadows. fabulous site, had serviced pitch on west side which doesn't have play area so alot quieter as less children although is was out of school holiday time too. Facilities are clean and plenty, usual CMC high standard. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Roads between pitches are a little narrow so some shunting around maybe required depending on outfit length. Pizza, chips & Indian food vans on site 5 days pizza highly recommend. 2 mins walk you are in the most fantastic country park with walks around various lakes. Our little dog had amazing time exploring. 2 great cafes to choose from, both can be recommended for breakfast and lunch, both dog friendly. Lovely shop/visitor centre, water activities, kids play areas, little train. NVR runs several days a week walking distance from site to station and a trip to Wansford is great for hour or two. We've thoroughly enjoyed the site & close surroundings that have only used the car once all week. Highly recommend the site and we will definitely be back. Thanks for a fab holiday.
As a last minute booking for the Easter Weekend we couldn't have wished for anything better.nThe site was immaculately clean including the shower and toilet facilities. This is an ideal location and large pitch sizes.nA different food van on site each teatime 5-8pm, but be quick as the food is so good it sells out before the 8pm end time.nDesignated dog walking areas if you want to take your dog.nKids play area on the East side site and luckily we managed to get a pitch just behind it, which was great for the grandchildren.nWill definitely be visiting again.nFeedback for owners would be to make sure they advise of the code to get into the shower/toilet blocks, and maybe some info on where those who want to take advantage of the fishing lakes can get their bait.nWould definitely recommend this site. 10/10.
Had a fabulous time here . Shame we could not do more than 3 nights , but had work commitments . The site was great . Very near everything . Walking distance to a lovely park . Every where was spotless . The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and could not do enough for you . Shower facilities and washing up areas squeaky clean . We will definitely be back when we can .
Lovely site clean, great facilities and friendly staff. Although the weather was not the best we enjoyed the natural setting, the Parakeets lol and other birdsnWe walked to Notcutts Garden Centre just down the road and also visited the local station, run by volunteers for a coffee.nFerry Meadows Park is close by and is great for walks and kids play areas.
