Lovely place. There are some real treasures and amazing bargains to be had, which, given Hastings Old Town is full of shops like this, makes it a brilliant source of well restored and safety tested goodies. I love the things I’ve bought from here, and really like the variety they manage to stock. The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, do a lot of the restoration themselves, and it’s definitely worth asking if you don’t see what you want.

I have always found Nelson House Antiques to be a great shop full of unexpected treasures. Furniture is sometimes restored by the craftspeople of Hastings, and has that touch of care and respect. I have also used their service for house clearance, and this was undertaken with professional sensitivity.

If I could give 0 stars I would, the woman in this shop is so rude and screamed at my 3 year old, there is no need to scream at a small child to not touch a piece of furniture. I have a well behaved little girl and did not warrant being shouted at the way we were.
  It's all junk and not worth the money she's asking for.
