Ticket machine wouldn't accept cash, credit card didn't work either, tried to download app, wouldn't download so drove off and parked elsewhere. In the car park for 12 minutes and I now have a £100 fine!!! Car park full of pot holes, narrow parking spaces, only one payment machine so long queues, the place is absolute rubbish. Highly recommend you park elsewhere.
As others have said. This car park is terrible. Visited today, machine wasn't working not taking a payment. Loads of people were going to it thought they were paying as it was beeping but on the poor screen it was saying the payment wasn't taken. Tried downloading the app, making an account and adding a card. Just wouldn't work. Had to ring and pay in the end. All in all took about 20 minutes. Yes the car park is covered in potholes too. Ncp should be ashamed of themselves. Loads of people will get a fine today.

On Saturday August 31st, I paid for 3 hours of parking at 4PM, and the payment was confirmed at the time.nnHowever, today I noticed that the payment was reversed by NCP at 12:10 am, meaning the payment was not processed on your end. I am concerned as I clearly paid for my parking session and have proof of this transaction. I am confused as to why this reversal occurred and am worried that this could be an attempt to issue a fine for non-payment.nnI want to make it absolutely clear that I have paid for the parking session, and I expect this issue to be rectified promptly. I am not prepared to accept any fine that may result from this error, and I am ready to contest this matter legally if necessary.nnPlease ensure that the payment is correctly processed so that I am not wrongfully penalized. I trust you will address this matter urgently to avoid any further issues.nnUpdate: Reading everyone’s reviews explains everything about the horrible state of this parking space. It’s literally the definition of entrapment!
Tried to use their machine to pay. Didn't work! Tried their app. Didn't work. No phone number to call. Ended up with a fine for their incompetence. Total sham of a car park. Seems like I am not the only one, and I was there back in May.nExpecting robot response like all the others.
Appalling experience! Visiting Shrewsbury there didn't seem to be anywhere to park so went in here. Being over 70 I'm not too computer savvy so hoped to pay with cash. No chance! It said if I pay cash it would cost twice as much! So I duly tried to scan the bar code thing and download the app with no success. At least half a dozen other folk were also gathered around trying to do the same thing with little success. Everyone around me was getting frustrated and angry! I was going to leave and try somewhere else but was told that if I did they'd trace and charge me anyway because the camera will have recorded my entry! So I tried to pay with cash but couldn't find any facility to do so! After 20 plus minutes of faffing around I managed to get it to scan my credit card! By this time I'd had enough! In addition I must also add that the carpark surface was covered with great big potholes and the parking spaces were so tight I was expecting my door to be dented on my return. It spoiled our day for sure and as a result we will NOT be returning to Shrewsbury any time soon. The whole system is completely flawed!
