Awful experience!nnNot only are the spaces too small but when we left we were stuck in this car park for 1 hour! The barrier stopped working and at the barrier every ticket was being checked manually - resulting in a 5/10 min conversation with every car that passed through.nnAfter several unhelpful phone calls with the “NCP helpline”, it took someone ripping the barrier down to let all the cars out.nnAfter an investigation, it’s obvious that this happens all the time. To avoid waiting over an hour after you finish parking …AVOID!!
NCP parking very poor show. I was stuck in traffic to get out of a busy car park and they have fined me for just being over the 10 mins parking by something like 1 minute and a few seconds.nI explained that I was stuck in traffic trying to get out. But could as the was cars infront of me so I could get out as they where waiting to get out. I picked up my friend and then made my way to the exist. I wasn't parked still parked. When in a queue I can't get out the car to pay. Its not my fault that this was a busy time and the exist was very busy.nI am not sure what NCP wanted me to do. Start beeping at the driver in front of me, get out of my car to find how to pay?nI have explained this and appealed. Got a reply back saying this is my fault as I didn't pay after looking at my reg number being scanned in and out. What part did they not understand i couldn't just get out to pay. I will NEVER park in NCP park park again. I will NEVER recommend anyone to use them. I would rather pay for a train and travel.
So i have updated my review from 1 star to 4 stars as a result of NCP customer services contacting me and reviewing the case and refunding. Thank you for taking the time to understand the situation and being pragmatic and taking a common sense view. The fact that they were prepared to Original review below for context.nBe very careful if you park here as I was done for not parking within the lines even though behind me there was only the crash barrier and wall. The staff must be incentived to report people as this impacted no one. Appealed to NCP and got the usual FO. Having been driving and parking at NCPs for over 30 years and never had a ticket for anything wont be returning. Oh and the spaces are very tight too.
Ncp Worcester Cathedral is a terrible car park. The spaces are ridiculously tight. We parked over the line next to a space that no car could fit in to as the car next to us was parked right on the white line his spaces was tight and right next to a wall Not even a tiny Fiat 500 and we received a £100 fine through the post. We’ll NEVER use this car park ever again. *note to NCP. Make your spaces wider. This isn’t the 1970’s when cars were smaller. Cars are bigger and wider in 2025.
It's a town centre multi storey car park but extremely tight bays, some set at awkward angles. Ticket on arrival and pay at machine before you leave. Very helpful assistant at the barrier. Top guy!
