Having only opened in December 2021 - replacing a former Navigation Inn - it’s already in the 2024 Good Beer Guide. The Windsor Knot Pale Ale I had certainly merits the entry. As an added bonus as well as two beer gardens, there is plenty of car parking although it’s Pay & Display and limited to 3 hours. A straightforward 15 minute walk from Kings Norton station. Parking: Monitored by Euro Park
We enjoyed an evening meal here. The Katsu curry was deliciousFood: 4/5
Perfect place, I like the design and it's so spacious. You can find toilets upstairs and so clean and organised. In terms of food, fish and chips with a side and drink was cheap, and crispy and delicious. Steak was okayish. They have so many options for drinks. I didn't know there are 8-9 options of cider: Stuff are friendly, helpful and cheerful Definitely I'll come again Parking: . Kid-friendliness: . Wheelchair accessibility: .
Had a early dinner meet up and enjoyed a drink in the sun before food. Had a chicken and bacon pasta dish which was really nice, and followed by the salted caramel sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for me and my friend had custard. Service to table was ok, staff seemed too distracted by friends and wanting to talk to them who were in pub. Cheap and cheerful. Parking: Don’t forget to register your car on arrival. Machine is at the bar.
visited the navigation on 27th November ordered 2x steaks and drinks, when they arrived they were so tough it was virtually impossible to cut them let alone chew them, on explaining to the waitress I was asked what would you like the chef to do cook it a bit more, the attitude was one of couldn't careless we finished our salad and jacket potato but before we left my wife showed two other waitress and asked if they were served it would they eat it ,the answer was a definite no ,I have had many a nice meal at the navigation and excellent breakfasts, but will never eat there or recommend anyone to eat there again
This is a recently opened, refurbished establishment. Smells new and clean. Quite important, post-Corona!! Also "It's huge", inside. It has different drinking/dining zones, some with windows, some more secluded, some under a roof window. Dependant on your mood, you can situate yourself in a suitable area. The kitchen is right to the back, out of the way. The bar is also in a separate zone. I went there for breakfast on bank holiday Monday and it was Packed!! Not entirely full, but definitely buzzing. Food was a lovely breakfast - a classic breakfast with coffee.no complaints.good old fashioned, what-you-set-up is-what-you-get standard food. . Lovely for when you want a breakfast meet up with friends and/or family. Also - I must mention the toilets. They were immaculate and traditional/modern-day feeling. If you judge a place by the toilets, you will surely be very satisfied. And for further security they had CCTV in the communal handwash/sink area. The other lovely detail - the pictures. Much of a nod to local history. So - to recap... Excellent food ,drink , toilets and history lessons . These will keep you coming back.
Newly opened Wetherspoons refurbished and styled very well. Lots of local history featured in the decor around the pub which was interesting. Generally felt clean throughout. Poor service massively let this place down though, ordered a breakfast and drink, the breakfast came out in about 3/4 minutes however the drink was over 20. At the time there were big queues at the bar and only 1 person serving so couldn’t collect it. Wasn’t particularly busy when I visited but seemed generally chaotic, not what you’d expect from a spoons.
I came here this evening hoping to have a Vegetarian curry but out of stock . I decided to try something else but told kitchen isn't available at moment. I don't drink but noted there was no draught available but that was because to coolers not working. Kitchen back on but tried to order Quorn nuggets and told they haven't got any. I've settled for something more simple Small bowl of chips & small portion of Onion Rings. Chips & Oniin Rings nice and crispy 10/10. What I especially like about Weatherspoon pubs is the free Refills on all hot drinks for just £1.20, I've been greedy and had a Latte, a Mocha, a triple Expresso, maybe the reason I'm feeling high at moment Just a shame I'm on my own and can't share the heat with someone, just kidding I'm too old for that now. I will re-visit this place to see if there's any improvement on the menu and if so adjust my rating. Free car parking. Plenty of outside seating available until 9pm due to neighbours its closed after 9pm and everyone goes inside Where they have plenty of seats. Good atmosphere with a mix of age groups with me probably the oldest.
The atmosphere was fine. I had a crusty strip burger with chips with a pint for only under 7 pounds. Not to heavy but nice chicken stripes.Food: 3/5
Very impressive renovation of this former historical pub. Huge frontage beer garden with plenty of planters. Large open plan restaurant and pub, with some little hideaways. Service is swift and hopefully this will continue. You can get a few characters in here, so bear that in mind if you prefer quieter venues. Look forward to going again
