Visited this place for first time and this restaurant proved to be very authentic Indian food. Chef customizes the food depending on how you need it and so this was freshly prepared and well made. Definitely one worth visiting if you are around Croydon.
FRESH TASTING FOOD A cosy place, with a good amount of spacing between tables. The food was as fresh as it could be and tasted delicious. I had a Mutton Chukka starter which had a good chilli kick to it. The Kadai Lamb was a flavourful dish too. I’d say that this kitchen offers a variation of the usual Indian Cuisine and I welcome their ideas. The staff were friendly and I would definitely come back to try more of their food. Toilets were clean & tidy.
Navaratna serves Indian cuisine with its utmost authenticity. The items are of perfect taste and the right portion. The staff are extremely polite and the ambience is too good. My personal preference is non vegetarian. However the vegan options are also top notch. In one word அருமை AwesomeFood: 5/5
The food was authentic South Indian. Service was good and food was delicious and good potion size too. A very intimate and cosy space. The mango lassi was one of my favourites
Navratna hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for a close family member. They were very generous in accommodating us on a Monday when they are usually closed. We were given the entire restaurant and facilitated early entry allowing us to decorate and re-arrange the seating. Food was lovely as always and well presented despite the larger number of guests. The chef and staff were very attentive and polite throughout and served with humility. Navratna provided a memorable evening and we are very thankful for their hospitality. Highly recommended.
Delicious! One of the best south Indian restaurant in Croydon. Excellent vegetarian starters and some really delicious dosa with coconut chutney. Must try.
The chicken chukka starter is very nice, spicy and flavourful! If you come here you have to get it , I get it every time I go. The king fish chettinad curry is also nice. The sauce of the kadai lamb and lamb bhuna is tasty, however the lamb meat itself is quite tough. Other than that there are no other faults . The roti, naans ,mushroom fried rice and mango lassi are great. Service was good , the waiter and the chef are very nice and appreciative , giving us a lot of smiles and waves. Works well for takeaway too.

We went to Navaratna for my partner's Birthday. The food was incredibly tasty and fresh and the service and overall experience were also spot on with the staff being extremely accommodating and attentive. The restaurant was happy for me to bring my own cake which they then presented in a fabulous way for the Birthday boy which was a lovely touch. Everyone in our party had such a great evening, I’m already excited to return and try some more of their delicious dishes.
This is the best Southern Indian we have had outside of southern India. What an undiscovered gem. Charming staff and great value food. We are working our way through the whole menu and are almost reluctant to share this place.
