Bank staff friendly but very happy to fob you off. Don't dare ask them to do anything unless it's very simple....keen to let you know they're staying open and not closing, unlike other banks. Yet, in reality they are unable to advise you on anything and very keen to direct you online. They may as well close down now, completely useless.
Things have changed at this branch since the times I was a PTA treasurer and in frustration moved the account elsewhere. The new manager, Simon and his team now offer a great service. Today I visited to submit a change form for an account and was seen straight away by a delightful young lady called Cecile who dealt with all my queries superbly. Well done Nationwide Devizes. If only you had some influence over those awful Nationwide Television adverts!
i cant thank the manager and staff of the devizes branch enough. Was desperately in need of a new current account, my previous one having been closed, all the banks in town seemed to place obstacles in the way, but the nationwide made it a simple and friendly process. They bent over backwards to help and 35 mins later i had an account number and sort code. Done. Excellent job all round. One year later.... This branch and the Salisbury branch I use are nothing short of excellent. NOTHING is too much trouble for them, however trivial or obscure the question might be they go out of their way to help. Thanks again.
The jobsworth is at it again. refusing to let me deposit cash into my bank! making me do it outside at the machine when there was a free counter open. i will be making a complaint this time. I didn't get it's name but it looks like the bad guy "Ripper" from the film Last Action Hero
Exceptionally friendly helpful staff. Wont charge you £10 for a sheet of printer paper like most Banks and building societys ether.
Most shops are back open full time in Devizes, so why is Nationwide still closed 50 percent of the time, very annoying
