Shocking service from nationwide. Had a leak from my boiler they sent a engineer to repair it all he did was comfrim it was leaking then I ad a text saying the engineer is on the way I'm still waiting 2 weeks now. I phone nationwide they said they forgot to contact me and I need a new boiler. So I got someone else to have a look he fixed the boiler and said no need for a new boiler. Shame on you nationwide

Do not use. We had a leak from the bathroom and then a soil pipe leak. Their contractors were inept and slow. Nationwide Home Insurance did not manage our claim and they badly let down the Nationwide brand.

any kind of insurance with nationwide is not recommend. when you are in trouble, they always have a reason to escape the claim and pass you to ombudsman which is wasting your time

Having filled in details for house insurance and included the history of subsidence on 3 different comparison sites the Nationwide quotes, although not the cheapest were comparable. I went on Nationwide"s own website and yet again filled in all the details, including the subsidence and subsequent underpinning got a quote, was about to purchase then noticed the small print....Nationwide will not cover any home previously underpinned. They will however let you purchase a policy which would have been completely invalid had I needed to make a claim. SHOCKING PRACTICE NATIONWIDE, you should be ashamed of yourselves.  The help centre said it couldn't happen....oh really, I have news for them

It's hugely disappointing for me to find that Nationwide push such an awful insurance product. My annual home insurance premium has been increased by 36%! I have 15 years of no claims and have been a Nationwide customer for 20 years. I tried to reason with the underwriters, but to no avail ... basically take it or leave it. Guess what? I'm going to leave it and would strongly recommend that everyone who has an aversion to being conned do the same. There are many cheaper and better products out there.

Customer beware nationwide home insurance it’s not fit for purpose I’ve been with them for a few years now I made a claim for a damaged leather sofa which was only eight months old at the time they use royal sun alliance as their insurance company be very very careful of this because royal sun alliance it’s the worst home insurance company on the planet they will take you round roundabouts before they do anything on any home contents claim they never ever want to notify you in anyway what is going on with the client they use third-party repairers which are absolute useless so when you think about buying home insurance off nationwide think twice when Royal Sun alliance is mentioned as the insurer you will not get anywhere with them be careful

I thought it was time for a change. Nationwide offered a good deal. I still had a couple of questions to ask. I called several times and waited and waited and waited. I gave up in the end and have renewed with my old company...who offered me a better deal.

Sam in customer services was fantastic. Very understanding and patient, finished the call on a high. Thank you for your good work.
