We got to do the secret house tour at 1pm (offered each day) it was very well done by our lively knowledgeable guide Joanna. This home is open tour and very hand on. Amazing for children. Fans of Downton Abbey may enjoy as you get a very clear glimpse of manor house life. Not quite as elaborate as DA but you can touch and play. Grounds are wonderful. Hike to ancient castle ruins. Beautifully scenic. Very dog friendly. PLEASE KEEP LEASHED FOR CATTLE, DEER & LAMBS.

It's a great national trust place to visit. There are quite a few different rooms to see all with lots of information and details. A unique aspect of the place is that you can touch and feel so much of the antiques in the place. As always there is a lovely cafe and shop in the building as well

House was well set out and interesting. However, information office was closed by 3.00pm, toilets were locked. Went specifically to see the pump house, but it was locked. I can understand it's difficult to man it all the time, but an observation window wouldn't be too difficult to install. There is no point advertising something as an attraction and then not making it available. Very disappointed.

Dinevor has lovely walks and huge old trees Would be a great place for kids to make up their own games in. The castle is impressive and sufficiently spooky. The tea room had a roaring fire on this bright but cold March day, and was spacious and the homrcooked food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Yes, a hidden gem!
