Bleak, yet beautiful, wild and peaceful, no facilities, but close to Black Mountain Centre and Community café in Upper Brynamman, which is great.
Went to Herbert's quarry what a lovely part of history to visit. And the views are stunning
Gets very busy up here now as too many TV programs use this route. It's wild stunning place and the weather can change instantly. There are a couple of car parks here and some very good trails. Climb up high for the views !
Loved the view and drive. A short drive from swansea and visit this place in the evening if you like to drive through misty roads.
Hell of a view from this car park and some decent walks to go exploring old mines/quarrys.
The views from here are incredible on a clear day. Just watch for the wind and be careful on the drive up!
Great place to park and explore the Black Mountain Quarry and walk the surrounding area.
Dirt carpark, beautiful setting. Great stop off with interesting short walks to see ex stone works and wild moor. Wonderful mosses and hardy plants
The day we drove past, was a misty day. But still pleasant enough to have a picnic and explore the area. We missed out on the views. No worries, that's a perfect excuse to visit for a second time. Whoever is responsible for keeping the place tidy, should come by and clear away the rubbish left behind by inconsiderate walkers and visitors.
Large parking, gravel not so good for our motorbike. Lovely views in a clear day.
