The Rope Bridge area was closed when we arrived, but the trail was still open for walking. We decided to walk around and view the scenery and we were glad we did. This bridge isn't far at all from the Giant's Causeway so I think it's well worth the short drive up the coast. There were only two other people on the trail when we went and then two more people came onto the trail when we were leaving. It was actually very nice to be somewhat secluded for once on our trip as we had been used to bustling crowds and tour bus groups at basically every site we had been to. Here, we were able to enjoy the fantastic scenery in a peaceful manner. It was a wet and overcast day, but as we were walking back from the bridge the sun started peeking out a bit. It really lit up the area and made everything look a lot better.

I think it was about £8 to walk on the path and across the bridge. It was definitely worth it as I needed a small break/exercise after driving up from Belfast. It took about 45 min round trip with only minimal stops for photos. For kids or less physically capable it would probably take at least 30min each way. There are some stairs to traverse as well. Great views of the coast and totally worth it.

Astonishing view from the walk to the bridge crossing. The 1km path to the rope bridge is something to contemplate at each step. Staff are kind and funny, they make people laugh telling some acid jokes about the bridge crossing. Totally worth the visit.

One of my favorite places in Northern Ireland, however, the rock you cross the bridge to visit was closed due to rain. I understand that, but they don't tell you that until you've paid and are ready to cross the bridge. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star.

The wind will quite literally rip your clothes off if it happens to be a windy day. The unfortunate thing though is that they sometimes close down the rope bridge if it gets too windy. I couldn’t blame them for shutting it down when we arrived, but just be aware that you’ll be taking a gamble on the weather when you visit. Definitely worth a trip though - the landscape and scenery is gorgeous.
