Here’s the revised version with spelling and grammar corrections:nnWhere to start? I have to say, the staff are very friendly and polite, and I can’t fault them for that. However, it ends there.nnThe site itself is not ideal for a touring caravan. Many of the facilities are old and outdated, and the bathrooms are falling to pieces—not great and fairly dirty from my perspective.nnThe entire site is so poorly lit that my son fell the first night and ended up hurt.nnThere was an element of people who definitely weren’t conducive to a happy stay—fairly cheeky groups of young people being unpleasant to the smaller kids.nnThe pool is okay, but the changing rooms are basic and not very family-friendly. Again, they weren’t overly clean, and the toilets were filled with limescale. The lifeguard seemed uninterested and wasn’t particularly pleasant.nnWe chose this place for its Halloween events, which booked up quickly. Unfortunately, the disco was full of adults getting drunk while kids ran wild.nnThe camping pitch itself is poor; it’s essentially on a roundabout, and I was at such an awkward slant that I was genuinely worried about the caravan moving forward. I took extra care to secure it just in case.nnThere were no clear signs indicating where anything was. You’re shown a map at the start, but no one tells you the best way to get to places, and the obvious paths aren’t the actual routes to get there.nnFor what we paid versus what we got, especially compared to other sites a little further along the coast, I’d rather go up the coast next time. You get more value for your money, and while you may have to pay extra for showers, at least they are modern and clean.nnOverall, I was concerned about the safety of the kids on-site and didn’t feel comfortable letting them roam around.nnIt was very noisy at night, with no concern for kids trying to sleep. Most sites have a 10/11 pm cut-off time for noise, but there didn’t seem to be anyone here who cared.nnAvoid this site and head up the coast instead to Benone.
I want to make note of the following points. Firstly, there is a charge for almost everything, which is quite unfortunate. There are no basic cleaning supplies like a brush for the floor or washing up liquid/mop provided in the apartment. Towels come with an extra charge. The pool also comes with a high fee, and there are no family deals available, which is disappointing. Additionally, the slide at the pool took a long time to open, and when it did, it was only open for 15-20 minutes in each hour-long session. Once the hour was up, everyone had to leave, which was quite inconvenient especially for families with young kids who wanted to play longer. While the apartment itself is spacious, the makeshift bed in the kitchen was very uncomfortable, especially for someone of my size. The indoor gym was great, but unfortunately, after three days of use, I was informed that it was only for caravan owners or site residents, which was very disappointing. Access to the gym could have been managed better to accommodate responsible users who are willing to pay a small fee and sign safety declarations. Also, it was frustrating to have to remind the staff to open the park as it would remain shut if not prompted. If anyone decides to stay here, I encourage them to leave a review to see if there have been any improvements. I hope that the holiday park can address these issues for a better experience in the future.
Incredible location. Incredible staff who went above and beyond. Super clean room but needs an upgrade. Hot tub was fantastic although wasn't under cover and it rained none stop.nBut overall the owner and management let it down without informing us of pool and restaurant closure for when we were there.
We just came back from our stay with Causeway Coast Holiday Park and it was an amazing experience. The receptionist were all friendly, especially Sarah, who made us feel very welcome and very accommodating of our requests. It made such a big difference! I love the fact that they have an indoor heated pool with slides made my little girl happy and an in house pub where you can watch football made my husband happy and live music made me happy!. Lovely place to stay and very accessible to Ballycastle attractions!
Arrived at reception it was well set out, and the staff were friendly and professional. We were allocated our pitch and set up. The site itself was quite busy, but our pitches were empty and allocated for motorhomes only. Unfortunately, that's where the issues started. The area soon turned into a magnet for ball games. At one point, it was like SKY sports, football, cricket, tennis, and cycling. The balls hit our motorhome on numerous occasions. The site rules clearly state's no ball games around the accommodation, but this was not being adhered too and there are no signs. It was also quite noisy up until about 10:45pm, and the kids thought it was funny to play knock a door run which just wound up the dog. For people with children, it's a great site, but for couples, not so much. Unfortunately, we decided to leave a day early as we didn't want a repeat of the night before. We wouldn't return on this basis.
