Lovely cake and not too busy. Wish they'd either employ more staff to clear tables or establish a self clearing system. Dirty dishes spoil the space.

The hot chocolate and the cookies were nice but the ambiance not so.... Prices are good also

Brilliant afternoon tea, great service, and a great place to have it, so much history to see as far as art is concerned

Excellent venue for a light lunch or just coffee and cake. Also handy for main bus station. Can get very crowded at lunchtime.

Booked for afternoon tea just £30 for 2 people all the tea and coffee you can drink. Fresh loose tea was some of the best I’ve tried. Food delicious and beautifully present. Servers very friendly and welcoming couldn’t fault it in the slightest.

The food here is lovely  great options for all diets.

Always a joy!

Not the cafe but the portrait gallery, fasinating history and art spent a couple of hours here and maybe could have been longer
