We have travelled with this company for many a year and find it's value for money holidays hard to beat, providing you do not mind long coach journeys. And that's the rub, trips to Italy and Belgium are tiring, even though you are sat down most of the time. But there is the added bonus of looking at all the different places as you pass by, stopping off along the way most of the time, which for me and my wife is perfect as we just like travelling, no matter what the means are. I have booked online, travel agents and at this main office in Anlaby, the booking office is not very big but always busy so you really just have to wait until a call handler is free to deal with your request. You can ask questions and if the person serving you doesn't know the answer they will soon find out and despite the fact that some of them may have had a none too pleasant call to deal with they have always been pleasant in a face to face enquiry. I have no doubt some people will have had a none too pleasant experience with National, the total holidays that they offer mean that at some point something will go adrift. We have had a couple of occasions where we were less than happy and on one occasion received a £20 National voucher to compensate for our upset. As I have already said, all in all an excellent value for money holiday company, if you don't mind coach travel.

been to edinburgh, london, southport with this company. going to spain, iow, ireland, italy, etc too. excellent value, lovely drivers, can pay in instalments on big trips, what more do people want. hotels have always been good would highly recommend them. m walker

Very bad experience with National Holidays , Driver was very rude and non professional , the hotel was crap, they cancel part of the trip with out notice. will not recommend and please don't use this company ,customer service is rubbish

Without Prejudice. Had a break with National holidays last week in Blackpool and it was a Total Disaster. The hotel allocated to us (The New Ptesident) was unfit for immigrants, in fact immigrants would have sued the government. The initial room we were allocated was small and very dirty, so small it should never have been used as a double. After consulting the arrogant owners son, who was only interested in charging us another £80. to upgrade, we were given a slightly larger room than the one initially allocated to us, but it again was filthy. It's was unbelievable, no one had washed the curtains or cleaned into the corners of the floors for a long long time. There was a terrible noise in the showeroom/toilet and again it was unclean and well below the standard we expected for what we had paid. The food was mediocre and staff were on hand to ensure that you did not over indulge in the meat. The vegatables were not restricted. The staff in the dining room were very young and in my opinion would not have been capable of handling any difficult situation that might have arisen, remember we were mostly in our 70 to 80 years of age. Finally on our day of leaving, we were advised to be ready by 1.30pm (which we were). and the bus never turned up, YES THEY FORGOT TO COLLECT US. Can you believe such incompetence. We were finally collected 5.Hours and 10 minutes late. Have just received a voucher for £40 off our next break with national holidays. What an Insult. Now proceeding to put this on Twitter and any other site that has a large following.
