Beautiful and we'll maintained botanical gardens just a stones throw away from the heart of Dublin city. There is a huge selection of trees and flowers and it is beautiful to visit the gardens at any time during the year. Wild squirrels live in some of the tress and can be seen running about the land. A must visit if you enjoy nature or if you need a quick break from Dublin city.

My favourite place to walk by a mile (pun intended). The gardens are beautifully landscaped, and there's something to see all year round. The character of the place changes with the seasons, but with its many species of tree, it's an especially wonderful place to visit in autumn, since the shelter it provides means that the leaves stay on the trees longer, so their colour really deepens. The many acers are a spectacular sight. During the summer, I've lost count of the number of species of bee and other pollinating insects I've seen, and that, for me, is one of the biggest signs of how valuable the place is. The car park fills up quickly, and during the weekend (especially Sunday), you may very well have to wait for a space. However, it is possible to park on the street not too far away from the entrance. The cafe is very nice, but usually very busy.

Always a great day out. Takes a good 3 hours to really get the most out of the gardens, with so much to see. Closes at 5. Paid car park on site but quite a small one. There is on street parking nearby as well.

Great place for a relaxing walk. It's nice to just walk around and look at all the flowers and trees as well. The rose garden is very impressive when it's in full bloom. Great spot for learning at all levels. Very enjoyable place to just relax.
