I'm not a fan of giving bad reviews but unfortunately I had a lot of issues: Staff were slow and unprofessional. The woman "serving" our table didn't take much notice of us when we sat down, she took a good 5 minutes to drop extra menus over to us. After we ordered our food she threw all the cutlery in front of me, didn't bother to place any condiments on the table. The food is extremely over priced for the quality and portion size we received. My friend who ordered a burger received his food after myself, he was told his chips will be out in a few minutes. We had to go to the counter and get our own condiments, another employee saw us do this and ignored it. Didn't even check to see if we needed anything. We ordered a drink with our food, we would have ordered another after we finished them but our server was done with our table once the food was sent out as far as she was concerned. None of us felt comfortable to go to the bar and order another thanks to the atmosphere the staff had made for us. There's a lot of nice pubs that serve food in Drumcondra, I'd recommend trying another.

Food was amazing!! However, service was extremely poor. Servers were running around like they didn't know what they were doing. I ordered a drink and it took almost 20 minutes to get to me...when I ordered a second, they forgot and it took them a while to get it to me as well. The place was not busy for the number of servers available. We were ignored for the entirety of our meal. For a restaurant that boasts about being unpretentious, they surely made us feel pretty unwelcome and like we were an inconvenience. I would have given them only 1 star but the food warranted an additional star.

Friendly fantastic place. The reader's digest of Dublin. Go there and you have nailed the visit without even needing to add petrol to the hire car from the airport

Nice and spacey pub with an incredibly stylish and nice completely wooden interior. Prices are what you would expect in a pub just outside the city center: 5.50 for a pint of lager, a bit less for a Guinness. Although the vicinity of two universities, the place thank God is not flooded with students and the crowd consists mostly of locals and a more mature patronage. Up until recently the pub did not have any background music, which I really liked as normally the music is so loud you can't even hear your own words. Recently however, they started playing some background music, but it's at a pleasant level and you can still have a very decent conversation. The students working as waitresses here are very friendly and welcoming and the service is prompt and accurate. If you're looking for a stylish pleasant pub with that Irish feel without going too much cliché Irish (shamrocks everywhere, folk music blurting out of the speakers etc) that is never really overcrowded except on St. Patrick's day and pay a reasonable price for your drink, you're at the right place here. This pub also prides itself the nickname "the president's pub" because several US presidents have come here to have a pint.
