Ocean View, Nanpean Barn. Great views of Cape Cornwall from this first floor apartment. Clean and well stocked with most things you could need. Unfortunately we stayed here from 23rd February for 4 nights. The apartment was extremely cold, yes we were there during a cold spell in February, but I would expect an apartment rented out in the winter would have adequate heating, this does not. There are 2 storage heaters, one in the living room and a small one in the hall. The bathroom had a heated towel rail that was on a timer, it barely got warm. It also had a fan heater that did produce some heat whilst it was on but once turned off, blew cold air into the room. Neither of the bedrooms had heating. You could see your breath as you spoke, that’s how cold it was. I thought having a shower would warm me up but the hot water didn’t get hot enough, there was a sign next to the boiler with the information that it’s set to a safe temperature to protect the tennant from scalding. We found a portable plug in radiator that said it was for emergency use only and we used that to heat the bedroom prior going to bed for the 2nd and 3rd nights. Unfortunately by the 4th day we’d had enough and left early because we couldn’t stand being cold for any longer. What was meant to be a fun relaxing break, turned into an endurance test. Great looking apartment but shouldn’t be used in the winter.

Totally breathtaking place and views from all the apartments, Ocean View is very cosy and so well maintained, The Studio is also great and well presented, the views out to sea and out to the isle of scilly are breathtaking, the last half mile to the apartments can be a bit tricky on a single track road with blind bends but it is so worth the effort to get here, my only gripe is that there is no dedicated wi fi which is essential for me, the phone reception is also pretty bad, which makes the wi fi more important, there is free wi fi in the golf club next door but its a pain to keep having to go over, please please get some wi fi! I cant wait to get back there.
