The food was mediocre and expensive for what it is, but the main reason it's 3 stars is because our wait time was so long. We got in just after 6 and didn't leave until after 8. There were only 2 other tables when we arrived, two tables left and another came, so how was it so slow? The poppadoms and dips were nice and my starter was as well, but I didn't really like my main and the menu didn't really explain any of the dishes or what was in them. For the price and the fact I've had nicer Nepalese/Indian food elsewhere, I wouldn't go back.
Not a generic 5* review, we just love this place. I've tried about 3 different curry dishes and loved them. The meat-chunks starter is fantastic. The atmosphere is fine, just what you'd want if you're eating-in. And the service is as good as anywhere you could hope for Food: 5/5
The staff at Gurkha are always so obliging and friendly. What is even more remarkable is the food: my family have owned Indian dining establishments and I have huge experience in tasting Indian food. From all this, Gurkha features as probably the best Indian food although Nepalese more correctly that I have ever tasted. Extremely fresh ingredients coupled with the use of a variety of whole spices enhance the dishes to a cut above other places. Delicious!
I have lived locally for over 3 years & I used to live outside New York City and there was a hugely successful and well known Indian restaurant called Cinnamon. I thought I wouldn’t be able to find a match for it, but not only have I found a match for it, Gurkha’s delicious food supersedes it!!! The folks working there are also very kind! My favorite take-away for miles and miles.
I had a great time with my family here at Gurkha Dining. The food was amazing and so delicious, can't be expressed in words. The staffs were so cheerful and lovely, and their service was topmost.Food: 5/5
Very nice restaurant, have to say Gurkha ones are becoming my favourite as I haven't had a bad one yet and this was definitely 10/10. Nice decor and atmosphere, very friendly staff and food tasted amazing. I had the Himalayan chicken and my work mate had the chicken biryani. Both liked it
Fantastic meal plenty of food best I have had . It was my birthday and I was treated like a special guest. Staff are amazing nothing too much trouble highly recommendedFood: 5/5
The four of us have just visited Gurkha Dining, had a good meal which consisted of three dosas and the mixed grill. The food was tasty and fresh, the staff were polite and friendly. Ended up paying roughly £20 a head including drinks. Restaurant has free WiFi.

The food was ok , looked better then it tasted but it wasn't bad. The wait for food was surprisingly longer than expected considering how empty it was inside. Overall I probably wouldn't go back again as although the food was ok and looked lovely it was slightly lacking in flavour in my opinion.
