I am very anxious when it comes to visiting a dentist and this has resulted in not seeing one for many years. I booking an appointment at mydentist. From the off everyone I dealt with was just wonderful. Reception staff happy and helpful and when I did attend my appointment Blake was awesome, calm, reassuring and none judgemental. This put me at total ease and left this first appointment feeling happy and very relieved. I have since had all the work that needed doing done by Blake to a really high and caring standard. I could not recommend this dentist and in particular Blake enough!!
You've removed my 7 year old from your practice as an NHS patient, and in the same email offer a paid plan instead. No routine checkups in the pandemic, and immediately after leave us without a dentist, now struggling to find one as nobody takes NHS patients, not even the NHS. We're left with no choice, but to go private. Clearly not with you though given how you handled this!
We were patient's at mydentists for a few years and had a brilliant service from them couldn't be faulted.. Then covid hit and we didn't clogg up the small amount of appointments for severe cases having kept in contact with them then I had an abscess. So I made an appointment went along and got a prescription then we tried to make an appointment for a check up only to be informed that like all of the other people we were no longer patients and there were no available spaces unless we wanted to go private Sorry I can't afford to go private and I really am annoyed at the way we were dumped It seems to be a trend to just toss customers aside now Sorry I won't be coming to you again as a private patient As for your reply I did come for as regular as you would allow I came for an emergency appointment with anoth dentist about 6 months prior Then when I tried to book an appointment for a check up you told me I was taken off the list So that's a load of complete rubbish
Booked emergency appointment was told same day insisted pay upfront.when on route sent message oops its tomorrow. Didn't find out until arrived for original appointment. Came back day 2 dentist nice but pricey as don't do nhs only private .don't trust reception staff heard them tell white lies to customers. Then giggle about it when off phone.needless to say won't go to them .
After not going to the dentist for 15 years I was really nervous but Blake was fantastic. Really kind and made me feel at ease. A very positive experience.
One month ago I had a big i have a toothache I called emergency and this same day I had appointment. To today i don’t feel pain and they was really help me.
I always had my suspicions that the dental industry was a bit like the wild West, but my call with the Cheltenham practice today confirmed that. I attended last in 2019, just prior to the pandemic in the capacity of an NHS patient. Throughout the pandemic I followed the guidance and sacrificed my own dental hygiene by making sure that I wasn't taking up any 'emergency' slots' and have today gone to get myself booked in for a check-up. I was told promptly that I am a 'lapsed' patient and that I am no longer able to attend in the capacity of an NHS patient. Apparently there is no requirement for a dental practice to let you know that you have 'lapsed' - 'they are not like the doctors' is what I was told. The biggest irony of all in this conversation is that the receptionist very quickly informed me that I could pay for a private appointment - it's all about the money. Nice. I'll be going elsewhere.
Why do the replies from the company keep lying and saying they are 'at capacity for NHS dentists'. I was with them on the NHS and I visited regularly, including during and after Covid. However I've been told you'll now only see me privately via the expensive monthly plan. Why are you lying, you've basically taken everyone off NHS.
We are registered here as NHS patients but I was refused an appointment for a broken tooth yet offered a private appointment which I can't afford. I don't think this is supposed to happen. The receptionist told me she had to be careful with wording but I don't understand what wording means they're willing to treat me privately but not as an NHS patient, because that's what's happening despite us being registered at the practice for years. My children had their check-ups cancelled at the start of the year. We were told they would be rescheduled but they haven't been. I feel we're being lied to. I was given a number for an emergency appointment but unless you're in severe pain can't get seen. I thought dentistry was supposed to be preventative? I was advised to take paracetamol and they suggested I have a go at fixing it myself with a DIY kit. Great. By telling us they're going to be in touch they've kept us hanging on when we could have been looking elsewhere. I'm now told the letter we were to receive in May will be another few weeks, rather than just telling us they aren't going to see us. I've always been consistent at bringing the children to the dentist and now I feel bad because I can't afford to take them for the care they should be entitled to. It's not the right way to treat people. EDIT : In response to reply, we are already registered with the practice as NHS patients?!?! We still haven't heard anything about the children's check-ups that were going to be rescheduled, and the letter sent out indicated patients who wanted to stay as NHS could do so.
Dr Natalia Gheorghe treated me and she was the nicest, most engaging dentist I have ever been treated by, thank you Natalia!
